That’s true, BUK is taller & thicker than most other SAMs at top tier.

I might be biased since I’m mostly a ground player, but in a vacuum I’m fine with the SM-SV being added. However I’m against it in the current game enviroment mainly due to Russia having KH38MT and LDIRCM overperforming so much.
But like I said, I’m massively biased. I’m a ground player so the weaker CAS is or the stronger SPAA is overall, the more fun I get to have in GRB. I just wish stuff like the NASAM, Sky Sabre and Spyder etc would be fixed/buffed as well and a big nerf to LDIRCM should also greatly help the SLM get back up.

A normal phenomenon, I rather always have an option to play a nation that provides CAS free environment so I can enjoy playing tanks bro, I can also choose to only spawn when they are on the same team lol at least when I don’t want no cancer in my game I know I have somewhere to go to bro

Mig23MLD stomped the shit out of F4’s buddy.
It was so strong that Gaijin had to release F-14 with Phoenix missiles and even then MLD could easily beat Tomcat in 1vs1 once you passed Phoenix barrage (which was pretty easy back in then, still easy as well).
The balance between CAS and SPAA got completely out of hand for a while now.
MT was a mistake with the frogfoot, but it got more or less fixed when fox 3 arrived.
They shouldn’t have given it to other planes after that.
Instead they added some completely broken SPAA.
And them seeing through multiple meters of terrain and buildings and not emittimg radar signatures to the RWR for multiple seconds after spawning doesn’t make it better.
Then came the free SPAA which made it am even bigger shitshow. While you don’t get the top things, it’s still annoying as hell.
They should have given all the planes after the frogfoot some other missile with a thermal seeker. Something between KH29MT and KH38MT.
KH29 are not a top tier missile, since most of the planes don’t even get a thermal pod and the ML is laser guided and outside of spamming them into spawn to hit SPAA useless.

If gaijin would just add HARMs… I feel like that would be the perfect match.
I mean they are testing them now in nuclear thunder.
The question is how usefull they will be since i got 0 kills on SPAA with them but like 3 air to air kills lmao.

They’ve been testing them a lot recently.
If they get added you can take HARMs for the SPAAs, then MLs for tanks and such.

If it were up to me I’d also nerf FNF heli missiles as well, (Not JUST the LMUR).
Man, yesterday I got hit by a JAGM on my SAMPT, and my crew and only some part of the modules went YELLOW
It NEVER happens with the LMURS, it’s an assured kill with only 1 missile with them, 100%
Needing 2-4 missiles to destroy MBTs/SPAAs with JAGMs is crazy

In my opinion, the fact that every soviet player has access to the best free SPAA in the game balances out underperforming BUK. New Pantsir SM-SV absolutely was not needed

Gaijin released F-14 to capitalize on the Top gun Maverick release. I had nothing to do with the MLD. And on release F-14 was ridiculous bouth in flight-model and weapons. Initially the radar had faster refresh rate then the current EF AESA and was the only one with TWS. Remember back then RWR’s didn’t had launch indications, so “passing Phoenix barrage” wasn’t like today. Let’s not forget that after the F-14 launch, we when from nations vs nations in to mixed battles in ARB… the only con was the extremely hot IR signature (in order to flare IR missile, you had to pull back to 50% thrust and then flare).
And it’s rain surpased the addition of the F-16 and MiG-29, when the F-14 ramain the true apex predator.
