Either the game or you is lying, i wonder which it is…
They initially added the Italian M60A1 with the stabilizer, like the US M60A1(AOS). However they later found out that the Italian M60A1s didn’t have said stabilizer. So they removed the stabilizer and bumped it down in BR a little bit, and as a “compensation” everyone who owned the Italian M60A1 got a whopping 30% discount on the new premium, which was the OF-40 MTCA.
Save to say that the community was not happy, at all.
How do those 2 statements work together?
There is no preferential treatment for russia but if necessary Gaijin will ignore realism to keep them competetive? That does sound a good bit preferential to me.
There are other tanks that shouldn’t be at top tier, that get a boost or some enhancement to get them there.
EDIT: There are also other tanks at other BRs that have selective realism and can dominate.
gaijin should be burried because of bmpt and its implementation in the game
1.Which other tanks do get selective realism to compete?
2. it’s not just the tanks.
There’s no such thing as “selective realism”.
However, mobility is one of the biggest things that fall under your “selective realism”.
Centurion is among the most over-performing tanks in War Thunder in mobility. So much that not even T-80U over-performs as much as Centurion does [Swedish trials].
That is not selective realism, that is programming mobility in a way that ends up having over-performing tanks.
Gaijin could’ve discovered something with belted ammo, or it could be incorrect.
However, what we do know is of the vehicles added since they seem to have known:
Ajax. ? Internal? External?
CRV Block 2. All external.
Freccia OWS 30. All external.
BMPT. Pass-through.
BMPT-72. Pass-through.
Eltan P. ? Internal? External?
BTR-3E1. All internal?
M1296. All external.
sWaTrgInf. All external.
BMPTs are the only ones added that have pass-through.
Unlike spall-liners, this is an instance where Gaijin has modeled belted ammo tensions [not in a box] as not leading to catastrophic explosions when a Soviet vehicle is added.
Do you have a better word for when some vehicles get missiles they cant carry, missiles that dont exist or LDIRCM that can bend through space and time while others need hard sources for everything?
Yeah its almost like all of the others give a damn about crew survivability and therefore hard separate crew and ammo even if that means smaller magazine size. There are vehicles in the game with pass through and they all blow up when the external ammo is hit except the BMPT.
They havent which is why there is a wall of silence regarding the topic by the devs and mods.
There’s no such thing as “selective realism”
I think this is disingenuous to say when we’ve got
- Certain weapons not achieving IRL performance because they’re “close enough” in Gaijins eyes
- Others that don’t perform to IRL levels because there’s not a fist full of 1st party sources explicitly stating values that are implied multiple times
- Some that exist with a couple of mock-up pictures.
- Factual fixes for systems that have been ignored for years
@CamVPro
1- Yeah, the fact R-27ER doesn’t reach its IRL performance has upset some of its fans.
2- Yeah, the fact Mig-29’s RD-33 engines have incorrect fuel flow on dry thrust but can’t be fully proven because the first party sources don’t specify enough.
3- Yeah, Germany’s mock-up SPAA was delisted tho.
4- Yeah, the fact it’s been years without a fix to RD-33’s thrust curves is an issue.
Every example you gave there are many vehicles that fit.
Exactly so there are in fact many examples of Selective Realism in game
It’s not selective if it happens to everyone.
Telling that you only answered to him considering that the stuff i mentioned very much does not happen to everyone.
Did you want me to say the obvious?
If there was evidence of vehicles carrying missiles [weapons] they couldn’t carry [use] then unclassified manuals would prove that, which would be an actionable bug report. Without documentation, it’s purely conjecture; and said conjecture has occurred for every tech tree in the game.
LDIRCM is over-performing in all helicopters that feature it, and Gaijin stated they are working on fixing LDIRCM.
And as for silence on source material; no one is obligated to share the names of source material they have, and depending on how contract are written, there could be disclosure restrictions with the copyright holder[s].
No, that does not mean there are “highly restricted” documents being used… as someone else last year incorrectly thought.
why on gods green earth would there be reports about what weapons a vehicle couldnt carry? That doesnt make a lick of sense which is precisely why Gaijin usually correctly wants specific proof that a weapon was relevant on a specific type of plane. Thats why its a blatant double standard when the MI28NM and SU30SM get missile quantities that have no proof whatsoever.
LDIRCM is probably overperforming regarding what types of IR missiles it can affect however only one of the LDIRCM helis has an LDIRCM emitter affecting missiles in areas that are completely physically impossible.
They dont need to share a source but this is the same situation as the KH38MT where they are not giving any statement whatsoever and instead just block every inquiry and cast a wall of silence even towards the tech mods.
We wouldnt need the 3rd BR move for the BMPT if Gaijin just let a weakness of vehicle be a weakness instead of turning it into a pure advantage.
Probably?
Hmmm, what makes you say that I wonder
Surely not the helis currently capable of evading 20 missiles at once by just sitting there
Agreed here, the BMPT’s ammo rack does absolutely need a change.
Either make it internal or nuke turret mechanisms and electronics like on the PUMA
So you’re going down the route of claiming MRMLs and R-77 dual pylons are fake. Sad.
Despite proof that shows otherwise.
That or you have double standards.
As for Mi-28NM, there are dozens of photos out there of all 4 pylons having AGMs equipped.
And without proof that the pylons aren’t wired for a type of universal serial data transfer, there’s nothing to say on the matter that isn’t conjecture.
It’s this same exact argument you’re using that someone else tried using to dismiss 4 pylons of JAGMs.
MiG-29 and R-73 vs R-27ER
Some player has common sense bro and they obtain those numbers easily by playing casually. If you are a busta then no matter how hard you sweat you would still remains a busta.
Like all those incompetent players who also lack of common sense typically find someone or something else to blame rather than themselves.
