outdated at best, as was already replaced in M1s lol
Sweden with unpennable “noses” of 122Bs and side armor of turrets
China with ONLY tank ingame capable of whistanding the 1200mm tandem rocket
Bro play game
said one who shot the side of the tank that stood frontally to him and had no issues penetrating. If anything - 2a7 fuel tank explosion death when? Or maybe blowout panels should have 100% chance of explosion too, as when the autoloader hit you expect a momentary nuke exploson?
Man, I wish Gaijin would make the driver hatch and neck guard on Leo 2s volumetric…
Selective realism is when you see that the Brenus ERA is similar to Kontakt 5 in reality. This has been reported and acknowledged several times for years, but mysteriously, that ERA continues to perform like typical NATO junk ERA.
Although impossible, it would have been interesting if the same thing had happened to Kontakt 5 or Relikt, and to see how many days (if not hours) it would have taken them to correct it.
Interestingly, the only significant error affecting the Soviets that they haven’t corrected is that the 100mm 3BM25 and 115mm 3BM21 rounds should have greater penetration at 60° (the 3BM21 should also lose some penetration at 0°).
You’re absolutely correct, it has been developed and upgraded constantly over the decades, which means it has only gotten better over time.
In what universe? Against Russian tanks you rarely even get a crit
dunno what tanks you’ve been shooting at but I’ve had a good few kills against russian tanks, and many tanks with ERA using spikes.
If anything it’s German bias lmao. I’m a Japan main and all I do to kill a Russian tank is NOT shoot the upper front plate. If you can’t consistently one-shot Russian tanks side-on, then I don’t know what to tell you mate. Just because the game SAYS it has good armour, doesn’t mean it does.
@SnuggyNyx
Unrealistic? Real ammo doesn’t inherently cook off from fragments, especially cased ammunition.
There is no such thing as “Russian wonderweapons”.
Also Soviets & Brits don’t have turret baskets for their main battle tanks IRL nor in-game.
If you think NATO is lying about ERA performance, you’re more than welcome to provide Russian sources that disprove the NATO sources wrong.
The fact you claim NATO documents are liars is hilarious though.
I’ve never had to pixel hunt against Soviet MBTs, and never will.
Oh, and volumetric armor has no overlapping plates thus is easier to pen than non-volumetric armor.
If you’re bouncing off volumetric armor, you’re bouncing off weaker armor.
@Zahltag
I’ve caused more ammo cook-offs of Soviet tanks in War Thunder than have occurred in all of history IRL.
And hundred-thousands of players have done the same.
But your posts continue to defend Russian equipment instead of accept what goes on.
Brenus ERA is similar to Kontakt 5 in reality.
It would be cool to see that fixed eventually yeah.
the only significant error affecting the Soviets
Something tells me that’s not the only significant error affecting the Soviet TT…
and yet in your top 10 the vehicles with the best wr are russian. go figure.
Sure, IF you manage to avoid the Relict or Contact which eats all of the spall…
Real ammo has hit points? “Oh no my ammo is orange!” said no tanker ever.
Gaijin disagrees.
Sure, let’s make the baskets on the Abrams extremely vulnerable where if a tiny piece of shrapnel touches it, your turret gets locked up instantly and becomes useless which is just not what happens IRL.
Same old tired “classified documents, so we can make up the values however we want and ignore real life performance” argument. How original.
Volumetric has no overlapping plates? Weaker armor? Are we playing the same game? Panther turrets, Tiger turrets, T-34 turrets… I’ve personally lost count of how many times my 120mm AP round failed to pen the turret ring of a Leo 1 or other similar tanks due to thin, horizontal hull roof/sponson armor. If you’re claiming this is normal, you must also think that if I hold up a piece of paper 2 meters long perfectly flat horizontally, I can stop bullets with it?
What does team skill have to do with vehicles?
@SnuggyNyx
By definition volumetric armor has no overlapping plates because it’s… volumetric.
Gaijin says Soviet equipment is weaker than NATO equipment, which is factual.
Hit points are the best way to represent ammo status in simulators… So until someone comes up with a better simulation tactic, that’s what simulators are stuck with.
Of course you ignore real life performance of ERA… NATO documents on K5 and Relikt aren’t classified documents.
wdym? they’re just getting 1 new SPAA.
if u look really closely to each russian tank that uses an autoloader, u will notice, really really really closely, that all of them had turret baskets even before NATO tanks had ;)
do u have proofs of it?
how can u prove they suck irl? how can u prove they “probably overly exceed their power dramatically”?
oh wow! the first and single “Russian bias” post that actually has evidence!!!
if u have taken a break from WT, u obviously forgot 99% of how to play WT. when i take a break from a game, i don’t come back from the break instantly knowing how to annihilate my enemy in the coolest way ever, which isn’t a good excuse to say something is too good.
hmm, why?
oh i may know why!
yep, this is why.
i already noticed

BMPT-72 is literally BMPT but worse, since u can actually one shot it with a clean shot through the driver’s port or just ammo rack it like any other russian tank.
Disabling autoloader doesnt prevent you to rotate your turret in T-Series.
prevents u from reloading, which as i heard isn’t realistic since it should be able of reloading way slower than normal, not completely.
if u want balance then idk, make it turn like 5º/sec so the enemy T-80BVM u’re facing can’t turn it’s turret at 34º/sec and impale the Svinets-2 on u.
same for trunnions, they’re actually a part of the vertical mechanism, but they their vertical controls aren’t affected when it gets destroyed. that should get fixed since it’s literally attached to it

it’s attached.
Under what circumstances for example? maybe in optimal scenario autoloader could still load shell but in this case other autoloaders also has similiar capabilities.
Huh?
I just pointed out that autoloader has nothing to do with turret rotation, im not interested with balance discussion currently.

what kind of suspicious witch brew did u drink? no way u are actually not complaining about balance.
i should give u an achievement but i sadly don’t have any meme for congratulating a WT player ;c
i can gift u a meme or 2 if u want to compensate! :D
Why would I? armor and gun handling are the only things that allows to T-Series hold their ground at top tier on these days.
I’d never say no to good memes.
