that might be but for discussions about top tier only top tier CAS matters? The US has great CAS throughout the game but its never as much better than the rest as the KH38 Pantsir combo was
The HSTV-L cannot pen the spots with Relikt flat on, on the side of the T-90M and struggles with the BVM(this isn’t including tracks either). Does that sound scientific??? Lmao the math does not add up for what it says it has at that angle and it’s a well known fact that it overperforms, not that it matters much against anything with 600mm of pen(most top tier MBTs)
This literally checks out within the armor pen viewer it’s self no matter distance you put in! Yes relict should offer that much protection at acute angles however it seems to have that static value no matter what angle
Thats precisely the point, lower tier CAS requires a tiny amount of brain to effectively do damage while FnF missiles only require semi healthy fingers
Its not like top tier US CAS is useless, the F-16C and F-15E combo are still deadly asf. Its just not as good as KH-38 slingers.

This is a thread about RU bias in 2025, not about top tier woes.
If you want to claim bias you should prove a nation is OP at multiple BRs.

However once you learn mid-tier CAS its more oppressive than top-tier arguably, as you can essentially hover over the battlefield and kill what needs to be killed easier.
No one said its useless but when the Pantsir was the only usable top tier SPAA the usefullness was super low while the objectively better A2G weapon could be used almost without counterplay
Not sure if i agree there. Id say that mid tier CAS still offers more and cheaper counterplay than the KH38 did

HSTVL can and does pen the side of T-90M and other tanks. I know because I’ve done it at least half a dozen times.
The only time I would bounce is if I hit roof armor/tracks because 270mm > 160mm, but not >400+mm of track thickness.
ERA does not over-perform in War Thunder. I don’t know what your addiction is claiming “the west” is wrong about Relikt.
On top of all that, I 3 tapped 3 T-80BVMs using 120mm HEATFS avoiding their ERA bags on Fire Arc.
I fragged 48 Soviet tanks [just above the 44 needed per player to win] in Assault Arcade using 105mm HEATFS.
There is more to War Thunder than repeating myths about ERA.

- Russian company so russian dominance will always be seen as more problematic.
- Because the 2 latest examples of russian/soviet overperformance (Top tier CAS/Top tier naval) are both based on 2 insanely questionable pillars (Kh38MT, Soyuz)
- Its top tier specifically which is the most popular and the most visible BR

2- F-15E/I, Rafale, Su-30 has nothing to do with Soviet Tech tree only. All of which got balanced last major update thanks to new SPAA.
And Soyuz is alongside 3 German BBs. Again, not “Russian” bias.

…if far from the “most popular” and “most visible”… I bet 60-70% of the players havent reached more then rank 5, if not even lower.

Not sure what youre trying to say here but the target of complaint was not the SU30 but the questionable existence of the best A2G weapon
Again no idea what the german BBs have to do with a russian paper ship thats orders of magnitude better than what everyone else got in the last update
