To talk more on the coding part for these situations.
Im starting to think that this happens because the first shrapnel from the explosion doesn’t penetrate into the tank itself, either getting stuck on the barrel or being caught by volumetric. So with the highest pen shrapnel basically not going through, the game treat’s the explosion and shrapnel as just a large HE bomb, destroying anything outside the tank. (Though im not sure how to test this)

Bruh my i know so many people who have crazy winrates in Russia because it is bias. They got fake tanks, Fake Missiles, Inaccuracy in Spall liners, still a bug with the Ammo detonation on Russian tanks. Watch real footage of Russian tanks anything touches them the ammo cooks off 99.9% of the time lol
Some do… otheres keep moving after multuple hits… if this is your argument, I’ve watched a video where the magical blow-out-pannel of an M1A1 was hit and the crew abandoned that tank, and the cook-off melted the engine bay… can we advocate for that feature to be addeto in WT???
I would like Gaijin to model the thick black smoke that Russian tanks belch and the jerky nature when they stop to fire. Also increase Russian tank sound the engines seem to run near silent compared to Leopards, M1s and CR2s
In other news and displaying a complete lack of bias or dodgy judgement, all NATO blow-out panels have been arbitrarily nerfed. As in, they no longer work.
One really does have to wonder if this change would be made if Russian vehicles had blow-out panels…
And no, yeeting the turret 300 feet into the air isn’t a blow-out panel.
