Russian Bias in 2025?

Every nation has fake ships…? Even the US tech tree does lol. Japan does, Germany does, Ussr does, I think Italy may be the one exception here.

the T-90 is basically a modernisation of the T-72 so it has pretty similar mobility compared to it

The T-90 is still a T-72 at heart that’s why I didn’t mention T-90s

Nah, they have smaller weakspots (because the tanks are smaller) and they have armor on the UFP and the sides of the first quarter of the tank. Everything besides a 2A7 has paper all over the hull

That’s what I said…

No? You said theyre as easy to kill as any non Leo tank which is not true due to the vastly better hull armor and smaller weakspots

If you play on smaller maps, T-series tanks weakspots are the same size.
T-80BVM also has no turret armor; not as bad as Ariete, not as good as Leopard 2A4’s.

I still remember when I tested T-80BVM and who would shoot my UFP vs turret, and only Abrams shot my UFP while everyone else correctly shot the turret or side armor.

I even showed Abrams players my side armor and some still chose to shoot the UFP instead.

Thing is it’s hard to not hit a fuel tank on a T-XX pattern tank so you’re rolling the dice more often. Whenever I run games in the Type 10 or Leclerc I’ll get a fair few fuel explosions but it’s more bad luck since you’re not guaranteed to get a fuel tank hit.

That’s where it’s really annoying, the tanks that are most affected by it are already some of the least likely to tank a hit.
There’s also the matter that unlike with the turret basket, Gaijin never came forward wether fuel explosions were a deliberate mechanic intended to nerf survivability or a bug.

Fuel explosions are accurate, and Gaijin has stated that multiple times.
Fuel tanks also correctly eat fragments and don’t produce fragments.

Thats just the dart of the leclerc.
I get the same shooting abrams’ with it.

Damn those physics defying maps that scale all vehicles to the same size! /s
The turret armor is still good enough to bounce most poorly placed shots just like literally any turret. You dont need 2A7 turret cheeks againt current rounds.
I literally do not care about some random anecdote

@H_ngma
Dude’s out here calling science anecdotal.
Go learn what the scientific method is and take a course on science.

Modern rounds out-pen T-80BVM’s turret by double.
And smaller maps force side armor to be shown more often, which is one of the reasons people like them.
Flanking routes are more common.
Side armor is shown more often.
And one other thing I forgot about.

Are you claiming that you showing random players different parts of your tank and then writing about what they shot at in a comment is scientific and not just an anecdote? Because its insane if you are.
They still cant penetrate its cheeks except for the same weakspots every tank has.
Smaller maps that show side armor is literally a positive for USSR tanks since theyre the only ones that have some armor in the first quarter of the side while everyone else either rocks paper thin composite or stuff like the AZUR ERA
Edit: forgot about the STRV that one has actual armor on the side as well

@H_ngma

Anecdotal evidence:
“evidence in the form of stories that people tell about what has happened to them

I am not telling stories, and I’m not saying what has happened to me specifically.
I am sharing cold facts [not a story] on where players shot my T-80BVM, and it made me understand that Abrams players could use some advice.

So stop using a personal definition, and accept what words mean.
Also stop gaslighting people for being literate and pro-science.
T-80B’s cheeks are ~430mm thick.

Soviet MBTs don’t have side armor, no MBTs do. Not even Strv 122.

Funniest, least self-aware comment ive ever come across on this forum lmao

I can kill an abrams, chally, T series, etc very easily. The only tanks that give me trouble are leos

Congrats i guess? Still doesnt change the fact that Soviet tanks have generally better hull armor and smaller weakspots than most other tanks?

Except you fail to mention, ammo detonation, fuel explosion, or crew kills are far more prevalent on T series tanks than any other.

Got a few new idea’s for topics so ima ask real quick. What are all the main negatives to the ussr tanks? (Mainly so i don’t forget any) {I know there’s crew placement/ammo placement, turret traverse, reload, reverse gear, and same weakspot sense 9.0}

Reaload is subjective to the br
Early autoloaders on the t series have decent reload for the br
