Skilled player taking a shot against an objectively bad tactic at top BR.
Otomatic having less skill is sad, but oh well.
BMP-2M is more mobile and has ATGMs, and is still the same BR as other IFVs.
2S38 is fair currently as its closest equivalent is over-BR’d currently which makes the 2S38 itself balanced.
Relikt stops exactly what it should. It’s superior to K5 and acts that way.
As for ERA, the reason why NATO doesn’t use ERA on tanks is infantry support in NATO tactics has infantry closer to tanks.
When Abrams is running TUSK, infantry are forbidden from getting close during operations.
No but you need to fly and follow the missile in.
You don’t get to turn away…which will inevitably bring you over the battlefield in range of SPAA and SAMS
Might want to understand how they actually work before using them as an argument. I mean sure you can fire and forget about them for sure. You just won’t hit anything I’m afraid.
Brimstone requires that the aircraft stays within the laser gimbal
You start off high and then need to dive down and end up usually 3-5km from the target as the missile impacts or misses.
Brimstone is not a stand off weapon it is a guided short range rocket
You start high you see the Pantsir…You lock the Pantsir release multiple Brimstones
you fly towards the battlefield as you cannot hover and you cannot climb and fly high as the pantsir will kill you.
So you see the timer and pop up switch the Laser on Pantsir goes active and and starts to shoot down your Brimstones and fires missiles at you at the point your missiles could have impacted you are within 4-5km of the Pantsir.
If you dont defend the Pantsir will kill you if you do defend the Laser module will lose track for a second and the missiles IOG will cause it to drift and miss the target.
It is not a long range weapon because it is too slow.
I couldn’t agree more with you on this. I don’t think many people are even aware how bad of a state the helicopters that do not have the new modules truly are. My two most used heli in the AH-6M and AH-1Z don’t have them yet and I am getting very impatient with this very issue. The amount of times I had to circle back because I got hit by a couple small arms rounds is ridiculous It also screws with its CAP role against jets. The AH-6M suffers the most because it’s entire play style is getting up close with rockets and while I still do it it’s so much more harder to do now and have to take breaks between doing it. All helis 10.3 and up should have gotten them by now and at this rate I don’t think they get finished in a year or two. It’s honestly unacceptable the way it was implemented if I’m honest and got me to quit playing for half a year.
you just need to have the laser pointing around the same area when you first launch the missiles as it will go there if you loose the track. but you still dont need to be facing towards the battlefield in that scenario either.
with basically all targetting pods you can you can easily turn 90º off without loosing the track. and even then you dont need to recommit to get the laser back on track, targetting pods have really wide angles for you to recommit, for the lightning 3 you have ± 89 for the horizontal and -149º for the vertical.
well you shouldn’t be at close range to begin with against the pantsir, at longer ranges it is far more easily to defend
You launch and let the IOG do it’s thing and guide the missile to the general area you want. In this time period you can do stuff you want, you don’t need to headbutt a Pantsir in order for it to work. You just pop out in the last few seconds and correct the missile’s path by using your Laser pointer.
Brimstone can be used as a quasi-FnF weapon.
PUMA has ERA, composite armour, active protection system and external ammo storage. 2S38 has 100mm of extra pen but is a giant ammo rack.
TURMS-T is a T-72A (9.3) with thermals, it has the same round as the T-72B, but FAR less armour in both the hull and turret. UD needs to go up, its a T-80U with out thermals that’s not enough to justify it being 1.3 BR lower.
Gepard BR is mostly based of clown that use it as a tank destroyer, that said is has FAR better radar, longer range, harder hitting and more accurate guns
Not too long ago Russias SPAA had a gap from 3.3 to 8.0 (I don’t include the ZSU-57-2 as that thing is a TD pretending to be an SPAA) it was an issue with ALL nations SPAA lines.
They also have slow reloads and their guns are getting luck luster at their BR, yes they are a pain when you are up tired to fight them, but they are also painful to play we you are up tiered in them. that’s a compression issue, not bias. I will point out they are the same BR as the 20lb gun Centurions that are fully stabilized and can just LOLPEN their turret and LFP
These points are very reasonable and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to address them in a civilized manner.
I think this sums it up perfectly. I did state in my post that I don’t believe in Russian bias in but rather I think Gaijin is incapable of properly balancing their game or listening to their playerbase. The absolute wreck that is top tier right now is completely unacceptable. The compression of cold war tanks still fighting WWII tanks is ridiculous. The gaps in certain nations capabilities for lineups where they have historical vehicles that could fill those gaps is ridiculous.
There are so many imbalances in this game and not even the majority of them are with the Russian tech tree, so I can admit that. I just listed my greatest annoyances with the Russian tech tree that make me despise fighting them more often than not.
My point about the T80 and TURMS was more that I was excited that 9.3 was getting some breathing room but the 2S38, T80UD, TURMS, Su25K, BMP2M powerhouse lineup prevented 9.3 from getting any relief.
