Yes i agree that politics and conflicts affect some players in such way BUT this works for other nations too not only against russia. According to this logic and by the fact that just russia and china have 1,6 billion potential WT players, we should not talk about ‘‘russian bias’’ but about ‘‘american bias’’ but this is not happening… so the question still remains unanswered for me, why russia has the majority of bias videos on media since many years and not due to recent facts?
It depends on what anyone think about what ‘‘russian bias’’ is.
For example if someone thinks that Russian bias is that a player wiil take a russian tank and do a parade starting from team spawn all the way to the enemy spawn killing all the enemy tanks and surviving all enemy shots he is wrong. (Despite that i have seen such battles with kv-220s or objects-279 squads before the BR upgrade…:)
A bad player will need much more things than only playing russian tanks to become a good player but a good player will surely perform better using russian tanks.
In addition, player statistics doesn’t always tell the truth because for example if a player has begun playing the game with russia and after a couple of years play another country like usa or germany it is pretty possible to perform better because he will be more experienced by all game aspects.

Fair point, but you could observe them play recent additions to USSR/US/GER tree and their stats are still the same between all those vehicles.
Just because it’s free doesn’t mean people will use it. Big countries might have their own version of popular western sites. Just take VK or WeChat as an example.
Unfortunately i dont speak russian or chinese to do so but war thunder developers use mostly youtube to show or advertise new major updates or vehicles, so i think its obvious for someone to use the same platform in order to achieve same attention about a game issue beside game forum.
what about tik tok which is not ‘western’ origin platform ? The majority of bias videos are about russian vehicles too.

Language barrier is yet another reason why we don’t have a much bigger overlap with Russian/Chinese community. Just because they do it on YT for us, doesn’t mean people from Russia/China don’t complain both officially and unofficially on their versions of sites.
TikTok is a global version of Douyin, which will still predominately aim western people. They even share the same logo.

When every vehicle they touch have less than 50% and under 1.0 KDA. Being influenced by your own biased then try to justify it to sugarcoat your own belief , always russian. But it is ok when other vehicle also doesn’t blow up with ammo being hit ,track stopped a whole *ss APFSDS, fuel tank eating a whole shell. Mainstream western media is clearly biased towards US and NATO, they’re never able to do something wrong in their eyes, and whoever is sided with them is automatically a good guy as well. You missing this is concerning.
You’ll also have another meme that’s as old as the game itself which makes fun of your average German main. WW2 Germany players are often portrayed to be lobotomized pieces of flesh that have IQ of a slime. I doubt that’s unironically true though.
Also, you can often see videos of western vehicles eating shots that they shouldn’t have with a caption like: “Stalinium armor reached [insert vehicle/nation]”.
It’s a funny meme that’ll literally get disproven by the video itself where vehicles from other nations will bug out as well, causing Stalinium moments.
If your world view on a certain country or a certain group of people is not good. It will affect on how you view their suff as well. I myself play 4 nation , I can confirm that those incident that you have seen also happened on other tank as well , that doesn’t mean it is a good thing and gaijin should work on fixing it (they won’t) but russian are not the only tank with that “specialty”. And the playerbase is not helping by spreading the damn russian biased thingy , gotta love this playerbase
Plenty of times I’ve had non-Russia vehicles failing to die when they should’ve. Ammo going black and disappearing into the void, fuel tanks eating whole shells, non-penetrations on the side of the vehicle from the 90 degree angle.
These are bugs that’ll happen on vehicles regardless of which nation they’re part of.

Even here on Gaijin’s forum which obviously is not western biased, if you just type on the search lens ‘’ bias’’ you will see again that the vast majority of bias topics are about russian vehicles …
i totaly agree with you about that but as i said again every nation tank has these kind of ‘‘lucky’’ surviving or no damage shots but not with such frequency as russian tanks do and not so extreme, there is an obvious inequality .
