first off very funny for you to start this war again and yes like you im a Russian/us main mostly us. anyways from low tier to very top tier there are many many many points that i should have died in a Russian tank but did not. 1 case like yours was 2 1k bombs and the only thing that was destroyed where my tracks and engine. (no i dont use any premiums im full free to play i only have a premium account)
other times i where in a 3v1 all 3 of them where shooting me around a corner barrel dead got repaired and 1 shot every tank that was there and ended that game with a nuke.
so yes there is a major amount of Russian bias and out of all other nations Russian is by far the easiest one to drop nukes on.
Despite this discussion is mainly about Ground hardware i’d like to share a potential example of Russian (or maybe just premium) bias in 2024 - in an aircraft:
-
I bought today (via warbonds) the USSR A-20 G-30. It is the same plane as the US A-20 G-25. The USSR version has a much higher payload (thx to local modifications) and sits at 3.7 in Air RB, the US version at 2.7.
-
Both variants had no bomb sight and no bombardier as they had a “solid nose” with 6 x AN/M2 0.50 cals - the French and British versions had a “glass nose” with a bombardier and (ofc) a bomb sight.
-
But the USSR G-30 version has somehow bomb sight implemented and is classified as a bomber, whilst the US version is classified as strike aircraft and has no bomb sight. As a result the USSR version gets a medium/light bomber spawn 3.500 meters above ground, the US version a forward 1.000 meter air spawn as strike aircraft.
You might decide by yourself if there is USSR bias involved - or if they added this fantasy feature bomb sight for the USSR version just in oder to support premium sales, but imho both versions should be identical regarding their classification and subsequent “features”.
I will test this out, but the bomber spawn looks suited to increase the survival chances even if the BR is way higher - the plane can sustain longer dives with 630-650 kmph whilst the speed on the deck is rather disappointing. But, having a bomb sight is a major advantage for average players as they are not forced to dive bomb or do tree top level bomb runs which bears imho higher risks getting shot down…
Fair enough. Gunner has to track the target. Still matter of opinion if tracking is something really required.
The gunners i have talked to loved it.
Just now in a battle, I couldn’t penetrate the upper glacis of an IS-4 several times with the HEAT rounds of my M46. Then in the hangar, I saw that its upper glacis is now sloped at 63 degrees, lol.
Must be Russian bias.
That’s true, because in all the sources I know, it’s stated as 61 degrees. The same story applies to the T-44, by the way.
You have to take it from different perspectives. I currently am playing with these Tanks from the Soviet Tech tree: KV-1s (4.0), T-34 1941 (4.0), T-34 1942 (4.0), T-34 E-STZ (4.3). The KV-1s has really strong front armor if you don’t know where to shoot but from the sides and the back armor the armor is ok. The T-34 1941 is good but also only at 4.0 because if you angle your tank to shoot around a house corner you can easily get penetrated by any tank but it still is a good Allrounder tank. The T-34 1942 is actually my main tank at 4.3 even though it sits at 4.0, it basically combines good armor, good speed and firepower in one tank. When you get a good flank with the BR-350 MD-8 Fuse ammunition it is just great. Now the T-34 E-STZ has some better armor but as all other T-34s it can get easily destroyed by the wrong angle. The ammunition which I would recommend is The BR-350 MD-8 Fuse but the BR-350SP is also pretty strong. So overall it depends on the situation if Russian Bias exists. Everybody has once in his War Thunder playtime had a moment in which the other tank should not have been stronger but for some reason was.
I love how gaijin practically forces you to play with Russia
THIS TO BE HONEST! Gaijin make all other nations Trash.
I think you misspelled Sweden.
Sweden sucks outside top tier and a handful of other BRs.
The air tree isn’t too good, but the ground tree above rank V is decent.
Sweden: Home of vehicles it absolutely doesn’t need
Can’t wait for Swedish Leclerc, Abrams, and F-16
Maybe if we stop supporting Gajin financially until they fix their clearly bugged code, they will pay attention
Gaijin need some blessings of Yaldabaoth and start to grace the Terrestrial Kingdom with a shining beacon of a War Thunder that does our multiverse tree Yggdrasil honour.
Russian bias does not exist
4.0, 5.7, 6.7, 7.7, 8.0, 8.7, 9.3, 10.7, top.
All great lineups.
Internet Explorer, it’s not 2015 anymore.
What a waste of a reply, it really doesnt exist.
Another flanker nerf 🥲
Fair point, and I don’t disagree. Finland helped Sweden a lot, but I’m just tired of hearing about how Sweden is OP because of a handful of tanks.
