So, by what standard do you mean vehicles from the 1980’s, because if you were just going off from when the original variants entered service than sure a bunch come from the 1980’s give or take a decade, but clearly that is not what you are looking at given you clearly have taken none of that into account. The M1A2 alone comes in the 2000’s and many of the vehicles they have now are variants which popped up after the 1980’s. Same thing applies to a bunch of Russian vehicles, as the T-80BVM is a modernized T-80B which mind you can trace its lineage back to the T-64 which came about in the 1960’s while the Abrams furthest descendant is the MBT-70 but even then, it was born because it and then the XM803 failed and what it took from them is more likely salvaging the programs than being straight up based off them. Same applies for the T-72B3, and even the T-90M because it still can very much also go as far back as the T-64 given the original vehicles used which later developed into the T-72 were straight up modified T-64’s, not even mentioning the object 167. Also let’s not forget the Su-34 we have in-game has its lineage in even the prototype of the Su-34 during the cold war, 2014 was when it finally got into service which more says how long that thing took to enter service, also last time I checked the Su-25SM3 is more modern anyways and well ever since the Su-34 was added everyone stopped complaining about it as far as I have seen.
As already mentioned, the tanks are in-game while their counterparts in other nations are either older or they are also just as modern, and in the cases of when nations have older stuff it’s not gaijin coping, its gaijin basically acknowledging without even a single word that those older vehicles are on par with them. I hate to break it to you, but you are the clown if not circus here, whatever extent you think gaijin is stupid within your own self-imposed gaslighting to convince you they are that stupid, in reality that’s more likely how stupid you are. Truth be told if you find playing top tier America so miserable, you might want to look at yourself in the mirror or at your teammates because the nation mains of the major nations are typically the dumbest players on average and well in my experience the American ones are the dumbest to a point they have had to be spoiled by gaijin to a point where if they were competent it would be outright American bias, but with how bad they are it isn’t the case because they still can’t seem to take advantage of them or do better than anyone else till they are handed the most overpowered vehicle in the game (coughs in F-15E and F-14 IRAF).
