Gunner at the moment is both manning the turret and reloading, which is physically impossible.
Gaijin gave them a really lenient reload time increase for playability, it should be more in the 20-30s range as the gunner has to get up from his seat, switch position to loader’s position and only then he can engage in reloading. After the round is in the chamber he still needs to get back to his gunner’s seat before that round can be fired.
I’m sure you wouldn’t like this perfectly realistic change to be implemented.
I know this is not a top tier tank, but I once managed to set my Su-100P (open top tank with paper armor) on fire during test drive. After 7 minutes of burning the driver got fairly yellow.
So yeah, fires in general could use some love, because it’s either instadeath or essentialy nothing, with extinguisher taking out even the longest burning fire in like 5s.
Fires should get progressively worse, as time passes, same goes fot time to extinguish - you allowed the initially small fire to rage for 35s while happily firing your gun, prepare for some long extinguishing.
With the recent addition of more BR steps, I don’t see a reason why 80UD couldn’t move up to 10.7.
For 80B though, I’d wait to see how it performs and if it’s too good, I don’t mind seeing it at 11.0 as a good alternative to 90A.
Probably one of the worst 9.3s got a reason to be played again.
Russian and Chinese fuel tanks absorb all spalling and don’t creat new one. So often you just get hit (set on fire) without having any critical damage. I observed it countless times in my MBT2000 and other Chinese tanks and it’s the same when you shoot T-Series tanks. NATO tanks don’t have as many fuel tanks in the crew compartment to begin with and if they do they usually have a structural steel plate behind it that causes new spalling unlike the Ru/Ch tank designs.
It would help if you play everything else than UDSSR.
I played a lot of china lately and profited and suffered from it frequently, but in the end it’s just a dumb mechanic.
The problem is not the damage of the fire itself. It’s the spalling that gets completely absorb from the fuel tanks, so if it doesn’t explode you are basically f-ed. It’s rng bs.
The tanks you actually face in battle took 2-3 missiles to kill, plus are full of ammo as you are in test drive. You have 4 total.
You are shooting at the Abrams at a set angle that lets you arch the rounds into the turret ring. Also, your opponent isnt moving, shooting back, deploying smoke or using cover. Dispersion, projectile velocity, angle and elevation are going to be a surprise for you in a real match.
A Chieftain can reliably kill the T-90 at the test drive in a single shot to the lower plate. Chieftain OP move it to 10.0, please nerf.
yes it was in a test drive…dude stop defending bs the point is they died from less than 30m away to atgm’s which is apparently impossible… I own it i know what it’s capable of the 30mm will rip your face off before you’ve even taken the first shot, if you take the first shot and don’t kill it you’re dead, there’s no defending this op, under br’d vehicle if you do it’s because you’re abusing it.
While I do think the BMPT needs to move up further, I do disagree with the part above.
Even when I faced them in my Chally DS I would usually have a good 1-2 seconds before the 30mms would do any serious damage from the front. That made me realize I don’t need to shoot as quickly as possible the way I have to do when facing an MBT.
They do too, but T-Series have way more surface covered with fuel tanks, but yes it’s also bs when it happens with Typ10 and Leclercs or any other tank.
Gaijin needs to get rid of it. Spalling should just pass through completely or the tank should be completely inoperative while burning.
I spent 2 hours in a custom battle with a friend figuring where to shoot these things we learned this if they see you first you’re dead, if your first shot doesn’t kill them or remove it’s ability to fire, you’re dead, if you lase it and it spots you, you are dead.
I’ve played it a grand total of 4 times the second time i nearly had a nuke, the other 2 i just straight up held w and murdered my way across the map- i will not play it or the 10.3 russian premium lineup because it’s straight up broken - people that still defend this thing after all the posts the video’s, the content creators all saying the same thing are straight up abusing it at this point.
The thing needs to go up as high as possible, it is straight up ruining the game from the impossibility to play and enjoy a whole br range with matchmaking being totally screwed with queue times are through the roof i sat waiting for 15minutes at one point yesterday and just turned off the game and did something else.
The worst tanks in game got their actual reload,except China again cause they cant have nice things. Which is still slower than any NATO tank yet forums starts a massive outcry. ZTZ99 spall liners when,it got reported more than two years ago and accepted,or the actual 6s reload for them.

The Russians tanks STILL have a WEAKER shell (on average), slower reload, more fragile weapons system…
But over .1 seconds, this… this is apparently worthy over one second in reload time reduction for NATO MBTs?
Do you even hear how insane this sounds?
