We’re not talking about the crew burning to death. We’re talking about ammo cooking off. This happens in the Abrams series tanks, it is not modeled for tanks carrying the ammo carousel.
Not true bruh.
In the other hand Russian and Japanese tanks die from random fuel explosions even when they hit non critical components. It happened a lot of times to me. If you hit fuel behind ammo carousel or around driver you have decent chance to detonate entire tank.
Internal fuel tanks have a % chance to kill the crew.
That’s Gaijin’s intentional coding, the Leclercs suffer the same problems.
Diesel shouldn’t explode, no. Yet here we are.
The larger problem is those same fuel tanks are treated as spall liners causing a secondary layer of armor which may or may not one shot you. Very frustrating modeling for both the person shooting you and you being shot. Truly a Gaijin special.
Not a high explosive, but basically a low explosive. Burning fuel covering a human body is not a healthy thing you know…
Liquids can stop low energy fragments that are in a shape that they have high drag? Strange, innit?
1, how did they die, when they were not even red (except in 1 case, where the crew member injured from the initial shot).
2, how was it crew death when the tank visually exploded, and had the message “ammunition exploded”?
