100% agree. for example all the bmps/bmds are overtiered. they die in 1 hit from a tiger (5.7) and should be moved down to ~5.3 or less

They don’t really need to. They are bad vehicles but recompressing the game is not a good idea.
1989 is trash.
2S38 is mediocre, and its going to 10.7.
BMP-2M is garbage, and i’m tired of people pretending its overpowered. You are slower than MBTs. IFVs beyond 9.7 are simply not good.
Strela is an SPAA, and thus I did not think of it. Strela is good.
2S25M is. Subpar mobility because of awful transmission, awful gun handling, paper armor, no depression, terrible reload, etc.
BMD is fine.
However, last I checked, these are not 10.3.
Genuinely don’t know what to say to any of this. Like, you’re wrong on all counts barring the Strela. The 2S25M has enough mobility to get to good spots and begin farming with its great gun. Bad reload? Just go behind cover if you don’t one shot? The 2M is bad? It can frontally engage every MBT in the game, which is unique for IFVs. The 2S38 owns flanks and destroys helis without giving away its position. Speed for these vehicles isn’t an issue. They reach the same spots you would in an MBT before the first exchanges are made.
However, last I checked, these are not 10.3.
My point was that these show up in 10.3 lineups frequently and are more than capable at even top tier.
Please, disprove the points I made.

Stuff like 2A4 or M1 will get to spots faster, can use more spots due to better gun depression, and knock out more targets in quick succession with their better reloads. And this is not factoring in how 2S25M performs poorly when turning due to its rather awful transmission, it has Type 10 syndrome but a bit better.
In a frontal engagement it loses every time, as 120mm APFSDS will kill the 2M before it can really do much. Plus, the 2M’s Kornet launchers are unstabilized, and the ATGMs will often go directly into the ground.

If a 2S38 or BMD are getting a good amount of kills at top tier, I think we might need to check the iq of the enemy team.

Only bad reverse speed, thermals aren’t really that important, and u get good armor that makes u very hard to kill when hull down

USSR has the best IR/EO spaa in that br, the strella, while in 10.7 have the 2S6. Which both are way better than the roland or chaparral.
Sabot rounds, air tracking and faster he-vt shells. And yet you say “for some reason” lmao.
Turret rotation not that bad. And people exagerate saying that the reverse and depression makes the tank bad, if you have such good forward speed and strong armor.

Light tank doesnt immediately mean that its going to be faster than an MBT lol. Its higher than a begleit because its better than a begleit in every single metric other than RoF. And its mobility is completely usable, it even has an ok reverse gear compared to other russian designs.
And thats completely ignoring (which you just so conveniently left out) its armament and utility being great. Dart that can pen every tank at 10.3 frontally with high RoF. HEVT shell with 6m fuze range and good muzzle velocity + IRST to deal with helis and close flying planes. LWS, smokes (begleit doesnt get them lol) large ready rack. Genuinely dont know why people are bitchin about 2S38 going up to 10.7. Cry me a river.

The tank is fine in ground rb. Dont hold down W like the average russian player and youre literally fine. You have one of the best rounds at that BR with good reload speed and armor that can tank quickly or poorly aimed potshots. Play smart.

Honestly, the only 10.3 russian tank that is kinda bad, is the T72B
(Also saying the T80UD sucks but you say the TURMS is good is crazy, thermals are so overrated)

T-72Bs are a little odd the B probably a bit over tiered while the (1989) is a little under tiered
Both SPAAs are fine.
My only experience with those is as the free vehicle option, both the OSA and Strela are solid SPAAs, def wouldn’t call them underpowered or anything
It’s good, shreds the side of MBTs and some front armor + the missiles are good when you can’t pen with the cannon
Not sure if i’d call it slow, maybe mid, armor is obviously not great but the RNG gods looks favourably upon it when it comes to some hits
same for the T-72Bs
can’t say much for this as i don’t own it
so i really wouldn’t say USSR is struggling in 10.3, especially when 10.7 MBTs of other nations are worse off in both armor and pen
Rather i’d argue you’re better off than those nations, depression and reverse speed is pretty much the only downside with most USSR vics in this BR for me
also, the 2S25M is a great vehicle with a top tier shell in 10.0, def could be brought into 10.3 or possibly even top BR
