I’m currently at the T-80b grinding 9.3 spa but I’m concerned because Russia has just two 12.0 tanks, the T-90m and T-80bvm with some 11.7 to throw in, half of which are premium or squadron vehicles. It’s pretty bad for a major tech tree, Jesus even France and UK get more stuff, Sweden, China, USA, Germany and Israel too, all of them get more tanks except for Italy and Japan. Russia needs a wider top tier ground lineup, maybe some slightly different variants of what already has? I don’t know any other vehicles with the exception the new rather obscure T-14 and I don’t think it will be added any time soon

I would trade 5/6 of those MBTs for 1 to be even half as good as the T-80BVM.
(not saying the USSR shouldnt get a third, just that quantity of MBTs is rarely a deciding factor on whether or not a nation is “good”)

Eh… The CR2E fixes some of the CR2s problem in terms of mobility and the CR2BN is carried rather hard by having APS and better thermals. But both have some pretty major problems they straight up wont fix.
they are cool, and play pretty well, i love the APS on the BN especially
the only problem is that Morvran only sees the problems with anything british, which is absolutely needed at times when things are underperforming, but it can be a bit of a bummer sometimes
You have two 12.0 MBTs and a 12.0 SPAA that actually works somewhat (unlike all other SPAA in game currently at top tier) which is more than most nations can say.

2S38 is fine at 12.0, Krizhentema as well for big open maps with hulldown spots.
Thats my 12.0/13.0 lineup with the bvm/pantsir as well. Doesnt the t90 still have the garbage 4km reverse? AiNt no way im playing that at 12.0, the one at 11.0 does and im just sick of crap mobility it sucks so bad. BVM at least feels like a modern tank sans the shit gun depression. Every t series tank after the t55am is just woefully outclassed by everyone else. Sniping with bad depression and reverse is miserable, brawling with half the turret traverse or veritcal targeting etc. of other tanks. Armor means nothing against brained players that will hit your lfp or gun/breach.
Ive been playing nothing but 10.3 russia for a while grinding and Ive yet to run into these haords of paid actors that will try and shoot ufp or turret cheeks or take bad shots in general that make the superior armor of these tanks worth the BR they are at. And if it is the round that is the problem you dont need crazy pen rounds to hit and pen the areas you should be aiming for anyways, it just ends up being bad shot protection in some cases. Even darts from 9.x BR have similar performance on your weakspots that top tier rounds do.
Sniping you want to expose yourself for as little time as possible when you take shots, having bad acceleration, reverse, and depression is no good for this. Brawling you need fast reaction times and the poor gun handling just lets you down.
Edit: Checked to see and ya, yikes. You couldn’t pay me to play this at 12.0.

Don’t forget about the 2 leopards and the 2nd best CAS plane in the whole game.
Also, don’t bother asking for Russian buffs/vehicles on this forum, there are a lot of people who will always oppose it for their own reasons.

I think you should play the T-90, I mean there’s no reason not to play it it’s literally the only backup tank you get, unless you’re willing to use the T-80U
It is because when you are bad at the game these tanks are a lot more frustrating to fight, that was me, I was a german main who thought russia was OP and ended up grinding the entire tree just to come to the conclusions of my above post. You cant just click on russian tanks and pen them, you have to shoot weakspots which are a bit smaller than other higher profile tanks. And when you don’t play russian tanks you do not see the absolute struggle that player has to deal with in terms of mobility and gun handling, so that factor never crosses your mind.

No more main battle tanks for USSR unless it’s the Object 195 to open doors for newer generation or larger caliber projects for all other main nations.
By no more main battle tanks I mean no premiums and lower battle rating T-80 and T-72 slop, it will also include the Object 640 in my opinion as the 152.4 mm variation is unknown.
I wish USSR gets a proper battle rating 9.0 to battle rating 12.0 light tanks like Kurganets-25, BRM-3K or any other BMP-3 remodulation like the Dragoon and other alike.

In fact Russia has a lot of vehicles, some of the fattest wallet warrior lineups as well BUT 12.0 is literally only two tanks…just like Italy lmao
