Penetration difference doesn’t really matter, but the 1.2 second reload is a big difference. It often bails me out or makes it so that I can quickly put in a shot on a second target when I couldn’t do that in a BVM or let alone a 90M.
I get more than enough hilly maps, but like I said to ARK_BOI maybe I’m just lucky.
overall armor at top tier is only worth something if you can combine it with something else that is strong. The Strv 122s and 2A7s are strong because they combine strong armor with really good survivability, decent mobility and good firepower and gun angles. None of the T-series now have that second factor.
Now my question is, and sorry for being blunt. You barely have enough experience/understanding to do well in your current BR range, so why would we trust what you say about a BR that you haven’t even played.

The reload rate is garbage and gets you killed quite often:
I messed up the edit on this second clip, so for context: Leopard 2A6 fired a round, I immediately killed his loader (and driver), yet he still out-reloads me.
Of course, if you actually played any of these vehicles, you’d realize that.

The guy I was responding to specifically said the SEPv2’s 0.50 cals were better than the prior versions, I was correct in stating that they are HE magnets.
The how often is the big part, though, as in statistically how often does it matter (I’d argue that it’s not a difference large enough to greatly impact gameplay).
Because a lot of the arguments have very little to do with experience and can just be checked with basic math, observation of maps, or checking a vehicle’s protection analysis (which isn’t perfect, but gives a decently accurate view of what happens to a vehicle).
The first one would’ve needed an Aced Abrams to survive (so not many people have that), the second most likely would take an Experted Abrams (5.73 seconds is the timespan from what I could tell through the nerd stats), and the third would’ve also taken an Experted Abrams.
Actually not really. Not only does barely anyone shoot the crows system with HE, there are only 2 spots on the entire crows that will make HE kill the tank if hit.
The problem that the SEPv2 has, besides the dead weight era, it’s the shields behind the crows. The protection analysis does show a kill shot on the SEP gun mounted M2, but I have never seen an Abrams die that way.
Yet it still leads you to borderline delusional takes. The Abrams is an incredibly capable tank and easily on par with the BVM and better than the 90M. Only the 2A7s and Strv 122 severely outperform it, but these tanks outperform every other MBT in the same way.
Also map observation is pretty laughable, as nobody always gets the same maps. I get plenty of maps where better gun depression comes in handy.

Abrams with Expect crew is 5.3 seconds, there’s no way that sliver of reload time remaining accounts for 1.2 seconds. I’m beginning to question your eyesight.
