You made no efforts to clarify what the target was in your OP so the forum user at liberty to assume what they like.
This is so stupid. There are videos out there of people turning .50 cals very quickly (that has already been provided in this thread). The ZU-23 gun is operated manually with no powered assistance (BTR-ZD in game mounts it). Of course a roof mounted mg that is several times lighter than that will turn much faster.

It’s generally understood that roof top machine guns are ineffective against CAS otherwise CAS wouldn’t be overpowered.
If you’re advocating for a crew member to be exposed to operate the machine gun then I would agree wholeheartedly.

All roof top machine guns rotate too quickly as they all rotate at the same speed that being however fast you can turn your cursor.
