Rocket/Missile based platforms are dead in GAB

Please revert to the old way of reloading rocket/missiles in rocket/missile based vehicles
I get it that the ammo create is nifty for RB and I don’t doubt it’s perfectly useful there

But in AB, the way it used to be for the last decade was good enough
You shot your rack, it reloaded

Now it’s so slow and limited, the rocket based platforms just become useless after a short while and the SPAAs gets gobsmacked by the swarm of suicidal planes coming at you since you run out of ammo in about two waves

This will slow down or even stall the sell of a lot of Premium vehicles like the Type 75 MLRS, BM-8 or Panzerwerfer 42 and Market vehicles like the LOSAT, Vilkias or QN506

I totally agree with you and hope the forum managers will report this to the developers.
After all, the arcade system should be different from other modes!

No, they won’t. It’s even doubtful whether they have direct contact with developers.

You would have to create a suggestion, then get a lot of support to have your suggestion passed to the devs after a few months/years, and then wait a few more years, so maybe your suggestion will be implemented in the game.

And you have to do all this because no one even thought about how ammo boxes would affect Arcade battles. They forced a change which actually nerfed many vehicles in Arcade mode and because this forum barely have any Arcade players you can’t really do anything about this.

The old system was changed, because most Realistic players wanted to have more ammo. But since there was only one vote on the system change, both Arcade and Realistic players voted for the same change. It’s no surprise that Realistic players were more engaged in voting. The real question is why there was only one vote, so essentially Realistic players voted for Realistic and Arcade changes.

I totally agree Arcade is a game mode that supposed to be fun. One of the features that made some specific vehicles (like ATGM) playable in Arcade was the unlimited ammo feature. Now this is gone and playing with these vehicles literally makes no sense anymore. Especially in Arcade mode, where the vehicles are so mobile and almost everyone is visible at all times, it is nearly impossible to get these vehicles near the capture zones. So this change actually killed many vehicles, and these vehicles weren’t that great even before this change.

There is no way the devs will revert this change now, they never do that. The only option now is to make a suggestion and convince the game developers to e.g. add infinite ammo to the ammo boxes in Arcade mode. You can always try to make a suggestion and maybe it will be passed to the devs and implemented in a few years. The chance for this is very low, but that’s the only thing you can do right now.

Reporting this as a bug doesn’t make any sense, because the devs won’t even see your report. It will be closed by one of the bug moderators (they are not even Gaijin employees!) as “not a bug”. Because this is a change in mechanics that the majority of players voted for. Nobody cares that most players actually wanted this change only in Realistic game mode.

You are quite right, I submitted the issue today and it was closed.
Need me submit to the forum. Sooo bad

At least I’m glad I’m not the only one who dislikes that change…
