ROCAF & PLAAF aircraft improvements & general discussion

To the j8 pilots, is it just me or does the j8b turn slightly better? It feel to me like j8b pulls in faster and harder, and generally is more responsive. Its almost like the j8f has some sort of glimiter. According to the warthunder wiki they weigh the same so they should control the same

I also had this issue, the difference in maneuverability was very noticeable. I think the reason is that I unlocked all modifications on J-8B, which increased maneuverability, while J-8F was stock. But the difference is really big, especially in the roll rate.

J8B does feel turn better than J8F.

The J-8F has a maximum overload in the files of 10G, so the J-8B does turn better.

J8F is still 11.7 while ja37d, an arguably better plane thanks to its ability to carry sarh missiles, was moved down to 11.3.

It’s time to equip the J7D with a PL5C like the other MIG 21 value vehicles with omnidirectional missile attack attributes

I will be fine with that if there is a TT J/F7 with all aspect AAM, especially considering there is only 3 J-7 variants total

F-7 PG,J-7G,F-7 BG,F-7BGI would be a nice addition.
Specially F-7BGI can be as a CAS jet in grb.Although it only gets access to LS-6s,TEBER guidance kit Mk. 81/82 and probably FT-2 but I think those are some what enough.

Anyone knows what this “bee bomb” is?

It’s a firebomb(if the translation is correct)

Note that there are fighter models below. The bee bomb and the incendiary bomb on the right are not an ammunition. The bee bomb should be an ammunition that can be loaded on f86f but cannot be equipped on f5, f104 and other aircraft.

I suspect that the bee bomb refers to some kind of rocket such as FFAR and HVAR.

F5c need 11.0 and f5e need in 11.3 first

Hear the full list. It does mention 5 and 2.75 inch rockets in the beginning of the list, so might not be rockets

In addition to rockets, cluster bombs may also be in line with the concept of “bees”.
According to the “可供支援架次” below, it may also be a very small bomb, which can make the f86f carry 40 bombs in one sortie.

Yes, it may be a cluster bomb or something similar. I couldn’t find anything on it in the F-86F flight manual

I think they might be smoke HVAR considering the amount of them is consistent with other rockets and smoke is usually used against bees. Also the F-86F looks like the only one that carries 5 inch rockets based on the list.

Image of the 15kg type 92 bomb bundle modification. Looks like at least 4 (maybe 8?) can be mounted in total.

Aircraft is P-51, not sure which variant. Probably D

Looks like the ROC wanted 50 20mm Hurricanes and a turbo charged engine for a variant of the P-66 (P-48d)? Neither probably came to fruition.

“bee bomb” in Chinese refers to “cluster bombs” or something similar like bombs with submunitions

Yes, it may also be a domestic cluster bomb or nickname for one.
