[RoadMap] Following the Roadmap: Construction of Objects and Trenches for some Vehicles

it make sense because some tanks have shovels and pickaxe as decoration. For example in the Italian TT on the turret of the Ariete and Ariete PSO there is the pickaxe. And in the 105/25 M43, on the rear, there is a shovel.
Anyway i think IRL every tank has a toolbox with shovels or other tools

They still have to spend an eternity to reload and as far as the idea goes, those ammo boxes aren’t infinite either.
If it really was as easy to abuse we would already be seeing this happen with Katyushas, the Matilda Hedgehog and the RBT-5

This, for all vehicles. J’ing out at the spawn or the AF (after repair) should refund all or perhaps half SP while also adding another available spawn to that vehicle to allow a system like in ARB. Too many times I’ve been in an aircraft only for my team to fold on the ground and I gotta throw away my hard earned SP to bail out their sorry skins in a tank. Or after clearing the sky and now as an SPAA you’re just sitting in spawn waiting for a target because leaving would mean no available SPAA later

I can think of a bunch of SPAAs and SAMs that in fact do not have enough ammo

Yeah it was god darn painful to spawn a Mistral or Strela just to wait for 10 minutes of absolutely nothing lol.
Maybe like, you could extract your AA after spawning 3 minutes, at a spawning point only, that takes 10 seconds to J out?
And also as this is an good opportunity, maybe we should give AA some special perk in construction so they have something they could do, when there’s no enemy aircraft present?

hard to get a Hedgehog within 250m of the other spawn. As far as the others: Artillery rangefinder. Is it ilegal?

SPAA shouldn’t be playable and should be controlled by AI only

That’s nice and all but I simply must ask at this point: what about the actual gamemodes? We’ve had nothing but team deathmatch in ARB and fighting over random circles on the ground/water in GRB/NRB for well over a decade at this point. Between the dozer blades literally no one uses and this, it’s starting to feel like we could get anything, even the most random and sparsely used mechanics, except new gamemodes.

Not hard to get it within 250m of a chokepoint tho.
Point is, you don’t see people sitting on caps with their MLRS vehicles just spamming rockets and reloading all day, as the reload times are agonizingly long and the whole process is inefficient as hell

also because you have to get an unarmored truck to the cap and keep it there. Having free ammo in your own spawn (some of which are actually protected now) is different

Absolutely i sign today

I always wanted to play “support”

being able to make ammo crates will already give me some power to do so

Now i just want my grandfather Renault R5 and i wanna vroom vroom around the battlefield supporting my ally and doing stupid stuff with my friends

Oh Oh and we need this:
Utility heli should be able to cap point when hovering at a certain distance above it, imagine dropping down VDV from Mi8, it’d be fun and legit, will not impacting the game too much

Mate, there are plenty of maps with protected caps pretty much next to the spawns, it just isn’t something that happens a lot at all

Would they add the F/A-18A & F/A-18C Hornets at the same time?

Pls dont turn this game into fortnite
The amount of OP indestructible spots that will be possible with a trench camo net and ammo box will be so big ground battles will turn into air battles even more, literally only counter play will be cas

exactly

So since we both seem to agree it would be bad if it DID happen more, why would we want mechanics that will only encourage it?

At a minimum you should not be able to build ammo boxes or other defenses in the same radius around your own spawn that the other side can’t put artillery into, so at least you have to move a little bit, otherwise this will break some games completely.

What does this question have to do with the mechanics showcased in this post?

They add a votation for this stupid and completely unnecesary stuff nobody wants but for things with thousands of votes and topics like balance CAS, improve the map design or the most important and long time demanded for the players the 0.7 BR spread is IGNORED!!!

Add this kind of votation for impotant things not another useless mechanic lie diggin with dozers, just another wasted of time and resource when the most important stuff of the game remains ignored.

People will draw all kinds of various things with that brush. Reproductive-organs mainly.

Well, for being “stuff nobody wants”, the votation currently shows kind of a majority voting in favour xD (75% so far for the ammo boxes, for example)

It had also been listed and showcased on the roadmap for a long time as well, so it’s not like it came out of nowhere.

And, for many years, lots of people have asked for new mechanics. Like these or not, stuff like this has been asked and, so far, welcome.

Of course there are other issues Gaijin needs to address- but that doesn’t mean they should halt development in other fields, specially when it’s not going to have any impact on whether/how they address said issues.

I get disagreeing or not liking these proposals, but I don’t think such strong reactions are needed.
