So, first of all, let me say that I completely suck at flying…that’s a given…there is no “git good” here…I don’t play any air modes unless it’s to fulfill a random task or BP challenge, and I’m ok with that…I know my limitations.
That being said, I often jump in a plane at the end of naval battles, and I can hold my own in bombers. At least until the update. Now, after the mechanics change, I can’t even get close enough to drop, much less destroy anything.

Naval CAS were always useless. It doesn’t seems that we’re going to see any usefulness for anti-ship missiles since all the planes that has it is around battle rating 10.0 or more.
The vessels anti-air AI specially when using HE-VT are incredible accurate when shooting at a target even at the lowest crew levels. I think is about time to Gaijin expand Naval Battles further more than Cold War prototypes or World War 1 battleships.

Honestly never seen someone actually playing CAS in Naval Battles. It may be because I don’t play consistently to the other game modes, but I won’t give a chance in a plane with two bombs or so against three or more stacked ships with pin point accuracy gunners, at least in Naval Realistic Battles is something like that.
Yes I understand CAS was much less effective in RB, but in AB the killing of ships with bombers, strike or by aircraft torpedoes were relatively easy tasks, especially vs Tier 1 DD’s!
Now even the 2 Type 89 MG’s (essentially Vickers) on a Momi will shoot you down at 2km!
