It should be removed. The mechanic is too rewarding.
Its over the top to hand free kills. Then there is also the severe damage mechanic, which triggers permanently for me (even when I just shot a very short burst with rifle calibre MGs). You do nothing significant, but permenently getting rewarded with a ‘kill’.
Its the wrong way. Gajin should insists that player actually kill enemy units to get rewarded with a kill.
As I already wrote in another threat. Sometimes you get multiple kills without doing anything. These furballs and G-rip mechanics provoke crashes of all sorts. Its too much. Its too easy. Also consider GRB. If this trend persists, my Tiger gets more air kills than my Wirbel. Alot players just crash out of purpose to quickly respawn or to deliver the bomb with 100% precision. Now you get rewarded for air crashes left an right.
I can’t belive community supports this nonsense.
(Its almost impossible to farm assists in WT, thats also an issue).
Daily tasks as a whole need a rework as thing have changed. But with infantry coming they will likely be making a whole new list so it would make sense to over hall it all at once.
Wasted attacks and even missiles on 4-5 aircraft that crashed before I could get them, and generally think I saw more crashes than kills in the kill-feed.
Makes me wonder again where the abuse actually is… = /
Happens in real life with kills that are credited as maneuver kills. It’s how an unarmed EF-111 got a kill during Desert Storm on January 17, 1991. It is quite rare though
The new aircraft crash reward system (closest enemy gets kill) is a good start. But there’s an edge case:
If an aircraft damages you and then crashes nearby, the kill goes to whoever’s closest (sometimes not the person who was damaged). The damaged player gets repair costs and no compensation.
Shouldn’t damage taken count toward the reward? If an aircraft targeted you specifically, you should get credit for the kill if no other player damaged it previously. If multiple players damaged the aircraft, the last one to damage it (or the primary damage dealer) should get credit.
Example: Fresh aircraft strikes your vehicle, you’re damaged and repairing, it crashes 300m away. Closest teammate gets the kill credit. Seems unfair.
Should aircraft crash kills credit the last player who took damage from the aircraft, or the closest enemy?
Damage taken should count (reward the player who was attacked last)
Closest enemy should get it (current system is fine)
Doesn’t matter / don’t care
