they tried to revenge kill me, i thought it was an only for air, glad its for ground too and i hope it gets to simulator modes too

So should you get a crew lock for being shot down? People should just learn how to fly to not get shot down.

They added maneuver kills but not for gamemode where it is most needed.

Should make it so if two or more enemies are within the 3km, it doesn’t give out any credit to discourage furballing and 1v2s.

Unfortunately, that is very likely.

People could crash on purpose near someone to avoid crew lock. It could be abused

And they could get shot down on purpose to avoid crew lock.

And that would give full rewards to the attacker which is better

crew lock still happens, I just tested it.

Okinawa was hated by the Allied team at the time due to the set up as the Axis side would 90% of the time win and the half of the team leaving did not help the situation. I sort of miss the WW2 air maps in general so I hope we see them again.

3KM is too great of a distance. That way a lot of players who have nothing to do with that opponent crash will get undeserved credits. 1KM at most it should be. When do you usually crash? Well…, during close combat, dogfight, which takes place within less than 1km distance, not further than that!

Never cook again. 3km is just barely long enough for someone to J out to a fox 3 or fox 2.

Making it 1km will barely solve the issue of denying kills

Agreed, even with current range I’ve encountered at least 2 cases of players J out mere moments before missile hit them and it’s counted as them crashed, not me killing them (ironically both cases were Chinese players). First case with J-15 was the funniest one because he killed me and I saw everything in a kill cam.

Seems like a decent mechanic now it’s in the game EXCEPT random tanks keep gettign air kills in ground for unrelated crashes they had no involvement in

Since the patch I’ve had three situations in which Maneuver Kill would have been awarded (and I’ve not been flying a lot) - if it wasn’t Sim: Once I managed to outmaneuver an enemy and got him to crash, twice the enemy to force me to lawndart…

Has been a while since I last experienced someone J-ing out just to spite me in Sim. There actually was only one guy I’ve encountered the last year or so who really used that tactic just to troll.

i get these people lik every other game, air sim will benefit from this feature and should beenabled.
who knows maybe it might bring more players to play sim and might give gaijin the confidence to start FIXING THINGS

While I agree, it does appear a bit “heavy handed/over the top” at times,
and it also is going to buff player’s kill counts a good deal,
(even further skewing player’s stats) I have a bit of a different issue I have noticed.

It is now even harder to get any Assists with this new mechanic running,
like a quite a bit harder. I’m not even sure how all that works now either.

I just noticed doing an Assists Daily Task that it is easily taking twice as
long and a great deal more effort to get assists now.

It’s not horrible/game breaking or anything . . and will take some getting used to
I am sure . . . just be nice(if even possible to code) to get maneuver kills
in there some how and not just any old crash that occurs.
