Revolutionize War Thunder: New Mode, Enhanced Matchmaking, and Exclusive Rewards!

War Thunder needs a special game mode, distinct from the casual mode, inspired by CS2. To access this mode, players would need to reach a specific level in both the aircraft and ground battle modes. Additionally, players would be allowed to use a maximum of three vehicles of the same tier for ground battles.

If a player leaves the match before it ends, they would be penalized with a 24-hour suspension. If a player is destroyed and remains waiting to rejoin the match, they would have a 30-second time limit to choose a new vehicle and return to the game. Failure to do so within the time limit would result in expulsion and a 24-hour penalty.

To encourage participation in this special mode, it should offer a 30% bonus to earnings, given the increased challenge. This change aims to improve the gaming experience, as many players enter, die, and exit, negatively impacting those who are focused on winning. Additionally, the vehicle limit per tier would help prevent players from using lower BR tanks just to disrupt the game.

Furthermore, matchmaking should be enhanced to ensure that players of similar skill levels are matched together, reducing the frustration of facing much more skilled opponents and creating a more balanced and fair gaming environment.

To further motivate players to excel, the player with the highest score at the end of each match could receive a premium lootbox. This would encourage players to strive for the best performance and positively contribute to the competition.

Interesting idea.

Is the 24-hour suspension for the entire game, or just one nation? Either way, it is way too long because you sometimes need to leave due to factors out of your control, such as server/PC crashes.

I’d also bump the rewards up more, closer to 40%, due to the more difficult nature of the battle.

The penalty will apply exclusively to this special mode, preventing the player from accessing it. In War Thunder, it is possible to reconnect if the connection drops or if the game closes unexpectedly. However, if a player experiences frequent connection issues, this should not negatively impact other participants who are not at fault and wish to play competitively. The player will still be able to play normally in the available casual modes, which are the current game systems.

If you increase the reward too much, it could break the game’s economy.

Sounds to me like it’s just another winge about 1 death leavers, but in a round-a-bout way to make it look like it isn’t a winge but dressed up as a different game mode suggestion.

What you are suggesting is your own game mode that punishes 1 death leavers and rage quitters.

Oh God I support but restricted to play for 24h is crazy, I’m not playing a match that I know it would be a defeat. 😭🙏

You can’t break something that’s already broken. The aspect in-game that have such risk is GJN Coins. SL and GE are completely virtual, there’s no taxes, inflation or devaluation.

This is why the system has been working well in CS2: it encourages players to really commit to the matches. In its current state, it’s not uncommon for one side to be overwhelmed because several team members abandoned the game without reason. In Counter-Strike, the competitive mode works as follows:

  1. First offense: A light penalty resulting in a temporary ban of 30 minutes.
  2. Subsequent offenses: With each subsequent abandonment, the punishment time increases, ranging from 2 hours to 24 hours, and up to 7 days.

These penalties apply only to the competitive mode; the player can still play the casual mode.

Furthermore, if this game mode requires more vehicles of the same tier and a minimum level to enter, it will prevent new players who buy a premium tank or plane from gaining immediate access to the top tier, giving them time to play the casual mode and learn the game mechanics, while the pro players will be playing the more challenging mode. It will also make it harder for hackers to access, as they would need to play a lot to meet the requirements, increasing the chance of them being banned beforehand. This is a very effective system to implement.

An issue with that, is that WT punishes you for dying. You lose SL, and it negatively harms your stats. If an enemy team is spawncamping you, why should you be forced to spawn again?

To tell you, most spawn camps happen because the team is unbalanced and has few players, as many have left the match. Maybe with this system, it will be harder to spawn camp since you’ll be fighting with good players…

cool idea
