Revising the Rate of Fire of the T-64, T-80, Т-72, ZTZ96, ZTZ99 Series and VT4, VT4A1 Tanks

Yup 509 pen, but the 120S get 621 pen… at 10.3? With a better reload.

I can see the better armor (slightly) over the T-72B, and the better round make it an 10.7, if it had apds for its 30mm. Because unless your shooting light tanks, that 30mm isn’t very useable vs mbts, especially since it’s so offset.

(Granted the T-72B is over br’d and should be 10.0)

Yeah T-72B is 10.0 worthy and the '89 model should still be foldered but at 10.3

First human to ever use the 120S as an example of a good vehicle

20 HESH is quite likely not enough for the type of warfare seen in ukraine, which is why they have to load more of them on the bustle

It’s pretty comparable to what can be loaded into the carrousel of Russian autoloaders, the T72/T90 can carry around 22 rounds, the Challenger 2 has 21 dedicated HESH storage bins

Technically the T72/T90 crew can manually load the gun afterwards, but they will be lucky to achieve a 1 round per minute while doing this, rendering the tank essentially useless. The ammo storage outside the autoloader is also so unsafe (and impractical) that many crews chose not to take any.

Is it?

5.0 sec reload, -10 gun depression m1a1 turret, 621 pen all at 10.3

That thing is slept on.

On a hull that is completely upgraded from the 8.0 M60

The 120S can work, but it’s mobility and armour are absolutely horrible, hence why it is at 10.3. It’s power to weight is only around ~13 horsepower per ton, giving it worse mobilty than many WW2 tanks.

The reverse speed is only around 11kph, better than many Russian tanks, but still abysmal compared to most 10.3 MBTs. The turret ring is huge and only 70mm, meaning even 30mm APDS can pen and kill the tank frontally.

The 120S has some of the worst stats of any rank 7 US vehicle, with less than 1 kill per spawn on average. The tank does one thing well, everything else about it is genuinely awful.

sever weeks, which was 11 weeks they spent training them mate.
which is 1 week shy of 3 months.

Yes i am aware, however we do not have a specific rule stating Not to stow HESH in the turret if the situation demands it.
Training and planning VS an active warzone are two very , very different things.
as we have seen time and time again over history.

it’ll take between 4 and 6 for them to be ready.

One google takes you straight to this which ahs sources linked. Batter in lad lol between 6 and 11 weeks.

Not in times of war.
Throw in war time training and that would get knocked down easily to 12 weeks

Yeah and an abrams turret + optics,

It’s not like it’s mobility is a hinderance… it’s literally about as fast as a T-72 in the test drive.

I also forgot it has gen 3 thermals, @An_Pigeon
and its armor hull down is unparalleled.

The hull is its weakness yes.

You provided no evidence of the 11 week training.

Your evidence is an AI search, which isn’t a source. Even in your AI search, it states the training was 6 weeks, the delivery time was 11 weeks.

We aren’t talking about delivery time.

The thermals are not 3rd generation

The top speed is also 48kph, much less than a T72 and the power to weight is also significantly worse.

They didn’t upgraded internal armor on LFP part only added additional ERA.

Which are external modules.

I mentioned both 2AV7 and 2A8 not to mention armored 2A5/A6’s are also offers better protection than Chally 2.

lol that’s simply untrue.

Also again, a tank from 1998 still being one of the most well defended MBTs in teh world speaks volumes about it’s armour capabilities.

Is that the reason why Leopards and Abram’s considered Best NATO tanks in terms of firepower+mobility+ protection combination?

Chally 2’s are good no doubt but they are not on par with Leopards when it comes to protection, especially not on D-Tech levels.

@Jεcka is the woman if you wanna keep talking about Challengers and Leopards2, I’ll just leave it here.

This video from prior indicates 4-6 weeks, whether that actually happened or not. im not sure, it was a guess by the speaker

2:40 ish

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FRQ6WdCvXo

and this one says half way through and will return in 2 weeks. Implying 4 weeks

2:55 ish

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W5eUUqD7N4&t=1s

So 4-6 weeks would be my guess for at least the first lot, likely those with prior tank experience

My question is, now that they’ve fixed the reload speed of these tanks, when are they going to address the tens of thousands of bugs affecting many other tanks, bugs that are sometimes far more important than losing a second of reload time? For example, the 100mm of KE armor on the Brenus ERA, the correction of the mantlets on the Centurion Mk10, Challenger 2, and Abrams, or adding the L23A1 to the Chieftain Mk10, and I could go on all day.

Now they’re really going to close this thread, haha.

FTFY :P

Aa woman who has deep knowledge about military and Leopards?

But doctrinally restricted loading is implemented for a few vehicles like Otomatic’s APFSDS being limited to the auxiliary magazine, or the MGM-51 on the M551’s being limited in quantity even though it “fits” in the regular 152mm canisters.

military 'tism does not discriminate

That’s not the point m8.

Generally speaking women tends to not show any interest when it comes to arms racing or military technologies so its a rare sight to see.

all of this is offtopic

yes exactly i understood what you said
