So nice rus tanks all use autoloaders :)
Reloads are based on the same way aircraft flight performance is calculated from. Reference point is always a fully upgraded vehicle and crew.
Thats quite harsh for manually loaded vehicles but thanks i appreciate the clear answer.
The context is relevant, which is why im annoyed as the only manually loaded tank without gun reset position is getting 5s reload
Stona, this reads like a justification hunt, not transparent research.
You’re asking the community to accept major RoF buffs based on “extensive research”, while providing no auditable citations (manual title/edition/page/scan) for the key claims.
1) Your own post admits the core problem: “7.1s was a minimum.” War Thunder — official forum
A publicly available T-64A technical manual (1984) explicitly lists min 7.1s and max 19.5s for the loading mechanism — i.e. it’s state/index dependent, not a fixed cycle. ukr.bulletpicker.com
So using minima or cyclograms as a fixed in-game reload is not “documentation says X”, it’s cherry-picking the best case.
2) T-72 family: “7s exactly” needs a real citation, because an auditable PDF says 8s.
The T-72B training/technical book “Устройство танка Т-72Б” (PDF) states: “Loading duration of one round: 8 seconds.” Jurkniga
If you’re overriding that with “7 seconds exactly”, you must provide the exact manual + page + scan you’re using.
3) “Greek trials = 6.5s” is not verifiable as presented. War Thunder — official forum
If the source is public, link it. If it’s not public, don’t use it as a balancing hammer.
4) Same standards should apply to Gaijin.
Gaijin’s own bug-report rules demand one primary manual or two independent secondary sources for historical changes. War Thunder
Then show the manual pages you’re basing these buffs on — don’t ask players to “trust us” while rejecting community reports as “not enough info”.
Until we get auditable citations (manual/edition/page/scan) for the “6.0s diagrams”, the “7s exactly T-72 manual”, and the “Greek trials 6.5s”, this looks like another “USSR buff justified after the fact”, while Western vehicles get “balance changes” and modeling inconsistencies that players can’t even appeal properly.
Smin why didnt the mbt-2000/alkhalid recieve a reload buff , its maker HIT also claims 9 rounds per minute , so shouldnt it also get buffed like VT-4 and 99
Still says 8.3 and I asked my buddies on Xbox, they all see the same number. Weird it’s an Xbox only thing.
But gaijin does hate us the most after all :)
So u will reduce reload time of leo2 aswell no??
The leopard 2s are some of the last tanks that need a reduced reload time.
#MakeItalyGreatAgain
Ariete reload 5.0 → 4.0
make the game even more realistic , lets add motion blur upon being hit (pen or no pen ) said motion blur should also double the reload time
And Russia need it? hmm?
Balance is one, Realism is another…
Gajjin said russia need better reload cause of Realism.
Firstly I would be Smin, not Stona. Secondly, please dont use AI to write your posts for your Feedback from your own words is more than adequate.

Everything regarding these changes has been detailed in the post above.
Cant lie man
Leopards on paper seem like the best tank all around but they are just unfun to play
gaijins incremental made up nerfs to things such as blow out panels and nato hump spanning half the tank rearwards with the fact that they (like abrams) have a turret ring that when knocked out you cant traverse turret
then with the fact the leo 2s often have armour thats just floating or bugged or the fact that the hydraulics every other update is outside the tank
they are just ass to play
difference with the turret ring is that you usually survive but for like 10 more seconds and the gameplay in which you are waiting for death is just boring
abrams i find is usually one shotted so as much as its annoying to die in one shot you at least can leave or spawn again freely and engage with the game
i find myself leaving my leos until last because i dont want to play them
especially with gen 1 thermals that do just hurt peoples eyes (i dont have 2a7)
my crew is also not aced or even experted but it is decently levelled. max i think for ground
Mine was denied and the reasoning did not answer my report issues entirely
Also not entirely true as ive yet to see this question answered
“Do we base autoloaders off their maximum sustained reload rate or maximum first shot reload rate in the most ideal of ideal circumstances”
also adding onto that
how have the devs looked at 3BM60 being in every two slots
Looked at how when moving 1 slot the reload is 6 seconds
And when moving 3 slots the reload is 7 seconds
And somehow they got 6.4 seconds for 2 slots
AI translation isn’t the issue — the text isn’t that detailed. The issue is Gaijin’s habit of turning “facts” into whatever suits them, and then acting surprised when people stop trusting it.
Aunt Edith
like, I 100% agree with you.
but everyone knows thats not what were getting.
They had slower reloads than other tanks, and were underperforming compared to real life.
Most Russian tanks only got a reduction of less than half a second, and the ones that did either went up in BR, or weren’t very good at their BR to begin with.
Fair point, but not fun ≠ not good.
"They had slower reloads than other tanks, and were underperforming compared to real life. "
Not true.
As I said above: reload time isn’t fixed. Depending on the autoloader’s position, it can take up to 19.5 seconds in the worst case (full carousel rotation)
Aunt Edith
Ah btw Leopard 2 is underperforming too, compared to real life. btw
