There was no indication about map structure considering CAS-AA . Many maps there is no alternative places to go with AA at all. Mby 100meters with truck. Easy to spot, easy to kill. Spice bombs etc specially look very very strong…
No, it’s just 95% of forum users. Pretty much everyone in actual games have absolutely 0 issues using SPAA.

Nah. SPAA are strong all the way till 12.0 AA vs 12.0 plane. 12.7s not on the list, too new to have conclusions.

tbh, an absence of CAS only promotes the most camperish, sweaty ‘I’m a sniper bro’, gameplay there is. + I like the feeling of shooting down air. It just makes me feel all nice and warm inside.

For buk just notch, and you will just be alive all the way. Tor on the other hand can always make you pull - which is really bad for jets without good performance. Was in a JagIS laughing at an enemy buk who was desperately spraying untracking missiles when I thought about this. I wouldn’t be able to get close id a tor was there, but that was a buk, so I got as close as 8km before the game ends to dead ground team.

Well, the maps have been sanitized so much, that there really aren’t any hard sniper locations anymore. None, at least, that can’t be taken out, pretty easily these days.
As far as CAS. This topic has raged on for years now. The Snail has made it clear that they are not changing the combined arms format.
I just wish they would tweak it a bit, so that it doesn’t get so ridiculous, with matches that get over loaded with CAS. Maybe auto spawn some AI anti-air, at some point in the match.
When my TT vehicles are dying more to air, than to ground, it gets annoying

Simple solution would be to have a time limit. No CAS for the first x minutes of the battle. I’ve seen aircraft within the first 2 minutes of a battle. Don’t hate CAS but there needs to be some time where ground battles are just ground battles.
Despite the addition of the new AA the balance just isn’t there yet.

If Breda 90/53 has taught me anything, there’s PLENTY of camper spots, and a good portion of maps have very strong sniper spots too. Even stronger with the Breda’s rangefinder.
What exactly is that meant to do though? The early spawn planes rarely have any real effect. Infact if anything, they’re weaker cause they have no teammates to cover em.
I was the ultimate sniper, before the maps became narrower and narrower. Yes, there is still a spot, here and there, but overall, the maps are mindless headons.
Of course they do. Early in the match, most tanks are still bunched up. A player who was just killed, odds on, was killed in close range. With multiple enemies around. So that player has great intel on where everyone is.
Depending on the BR, many early matches also, have no AA spawned in yet. So a CAS has free reign for a certain amount of time

Free reign to do what? Even planes with 3 bbs is considered a lot.
You ever see what a Yak-9 can do? Players get more kills with that, then with their ground vehicles. In the 6.0 BR, I die more to CAS, than to ground. I have spawned into matches, with my AA, as my first vehicle. Ran and grabbed a cap, and then waited a minute. Here came the CAS.
Higher tiers, it isn’t as much of an issue, as many spawn AA, anyways. Since they are effective tank killers as well.
TT has gotten ridiculous. CAS launching smart bombs, from 5+k away.

Wow, one (two) Russian is too strong. Clearly the best solution is blanket nerf all CAS instead of, idk, just nerf the vehicle that’s too strong.
They don’t even need to change it. Just add a new mode.
Without changes, players that like combined arms will be happy.
With new mode, players that like tanks will be happy.
Win-Win. What’s not to like about that?

Let’s not exaggerate. Never said anything about a nerf. Nor is it just one, or two planes. Each country now has a great CAS plane. A simple tweak of the game mode, would make a world of difference

Like I said, that has raged on for years now. There was one threat that was months old, and dozens of pages long, on a tanks only mode.
The mods have made that clear. Gaijin is too worried about ice times. Although in this day and age, that is far from an issue
