The ironic part is that my proposed removal of all autowin bleeds actually would help, not hurt them…
By taking out the autowin potential from CAS or bombing, fighter mains even like CommunistBalls would have on average more time in each match to finish their dogfights before needing to care about the other two objectives, and that’s assuming the absurdly rare case of not a single other person killing any ground or bombing unit. Which never happens.
Wanting the game to be improved and not see further degradation is not a minority position. Most folk have just given up on fighting for better given the treatment Gaijin gives those who want for better. The only camps here are “We want the game to become even less interesting” and “We want the game to develop into a more indepth product offering opportunities for everyone to enjoy”
Funny claim coming from someone who’s take on nuance is “Remove bombers from Air RB” unless you’ve somehow shifted to a sane take from that first post. But I doubt it.
Believe it or not, people want a proper PvPvE mode, not a pure PvE mode.
A lot of people are happy to see the World War mode being worked on, because that’s gonna provide a PvPvE experience, similarly people want a permanent ARB EC mode. Those modes have actual depth, unlike modern ARB
btw, just because the target of attackers and bombers is to destroy bases and AI targets doesn’t mean that they are somehow not part of the PvP part of the game. They still have to defend themselves against other players, if they want to win.
Removing bombers from Air RB is not what the side opposing you wants, sunshine. They aren’t opposed to PvP, they’re encouraging a broadening of scope of the PvPvE game mode.
the entire crux of my point is that we get our own PvP mode and you get whatever you want exactly (I’m still not entirely sure). You have absolutely 0 critical thinking skills it is truely amazing
If you had the ability to parse information (aka critical thinking skills) you would grasp that people don’t want a separate mode. They’re interested in the current mode being fleshed out in a way that facilitates a myriad number of playstyles. A PvPvE mode, building from what currently exists towards the good of what used to exist. This is not hard to grasp, your insistence on not grasping it is ironically a demonstration of the lacking critical thinking skills you accuse me of, or incredible dishonesty. I’m leaning towards assuming dishonesty.
If you want your own mode, encourage them to introduce tournaments under the event tab, as evidently your want is divergent from the intended functionality of the current mode.
You have absolutely 0 desire to meet anyone in the middle. Its I want this, you cannot have what you want because I want xyz, I need this now, wah wah wah. I honestly believe I am fighting with someone no older than 12 right now. Honestly Amazing.
In all honesty, even the most curmudgeony of fighter mains do have some valid points, though.
Bombers auto-winning games ain’t fun for anyone but the bombers in question. The CAS zergrushes I once partook in on oldschool Sicily prior to 1.57 where I was vaporizing an entire tank column in one pass with the Duck were only really fun for me. Fighter players do have some legitimate reason to be annoyed at cases like those.
This degradation is entirely due to the infighting among the camps in the playerbase. But the truth is without the zero-sum objective structure, there would be very little reason for them to fight each other.
Pot calling the kettle black, sunshine. You refuse to listen, unless it helps you twist the claims to what you want. If you want to make the case for a new mode catering to fighters (e.g. tournaments), then go to the suggestions section, and make it.
I’m opposed to this for the same reason I’m against splitting ground RB into “with aircraft” and “without”: combined arms is the bread and butter of War Thunder.
Battles are simply more dynamic when there’s vehicles of different classes that have to interact with each other. Of course it’s more difficult to get the balance right but when you do the result is better than the individual parts.
