Hello!
As we all know, the removal of the Tiger II (10.5cm Kw.K), Panther II and Coelian remains a divisive topic. Many players yearn for their return, while others believe they should be gone for good. So, can I get some numbers from you all?
Returned to the tech tree, simple
Returned via a recurring event, similar to the Maus
Stay gone, never to return
Other method of reintroduction, specify in comment
Returning via recurring event would be nice. Instead of the same same every year with the Maus, could just rearrange the vehicles. 2024 Maus, 2025 Coelian and blah blah blah.
The more threads get created, the higher the chance that development sees it and thinks: “the playerbase seems to really love these three tanks, and is sad that they are unobtainable, maybe we should do something for them”.
It’s my first forum post, actually. This is just to get a general idea of what the community wants, if I were to make an argument for the vehicles’ return it would be a separate post.
We don’t need more fantasy/vehicles that barely left the drawing board, admittedly these options don’t break the game that much.
But facing the U-SH 405 and Raketenautomat which never even went past the prototype stage is a miserable experience.
Where do we draw the line? Waffenträger E100 could be another WoT copy paste vehicle and it would just be a bkan on steroids and a nightmare to balance.
I did Russian threads on this and the reactions had been very positive and in favor of the return of the 3 German Tanks. Then Gaijin shut that whole forum down rather quickly. Only did one German thread that hardly got any attention.
I would rather face a vehicle that was not fully built at the time, but could definitely have been built, instead of a vehicle that is anachronistic and could not have been built at the time because of lacking technology.
Your statement makes sense but you havent faced either of those vehicles (USH/RK). No one feels true fear until one of the little buggers absorbs a AP shell and can still freely spam HEAT rockets at you.
I can understand your viewpoint. For me, it’s more that they were once (or are still, if you have them) in the game and seemed to fit quite well - like you said, they were hardly game-breaking.
I think they fill their place very nicely, the 7.0 lineup of the Panther and Tiger isn’t really replicated by the replacements that were added. I play the Jagdtiger quite often in Arcade (oh, the horror), and those two would bolster my lineup far better than the Panther F and even Tiger II H at 7.3 AB.
Brrr, the sounds of rocket spam from those little devils haunt my dreams. And I wasn’t aware that they were concept tanks, thanks for pointing me towards that rabbit hole.
