Dear War Thunder developers,
I am reaching out today to express my great disappointment and frustration with the current developments regarding the game maps. It is obvious that the maps are becoming increasingly boring and monotonous. In the past, there were varied elevations, elevated firing positions—so-called “sniper holes”—which allowed for tactical diversity and made the game exciting. These features were intentionally used to implement different strategies and to keep the battlefield dynamic.
But what is happening today? These important elements are being systematically removed! Instead, flanking options and elevated positions are being eliminated, forcing us to rush directly at the enemy—like in a tunnel with only two exits. This is not only boring but destroys the tactical depth that once defined the game. It’s like fighting in a monotonous tube, similar to old “Medal of Honor” levels from 2000—that can’t be your goal!
I urge you: bring back the old, varied maps and their different versions! Let us once again have the freedom to think strategically, utilize height advantages, and make the battlefield diverse. It is essential that you do not further simplify the maps and restrict tactical possibilities. Only then will War Thunder remain exciting, challenging, and fair for all players.
Stop turning the game into a monotonous, boring track! Give us back the variety that made the game so great!
Greetings
