The former Manager of the Leopard 2 Procurement Office was quite clear in his statements, D-technology was first implanted into Batch 1 - 4 turrets of Leopard 2s during the KWS upgrade to 2A5 standard, and they were subsequently mated to the hulls of batch 7 - 8 Leopard 2s with C-technology.
Now we have Zwilling (who’s book is supported by a General of the German Armed Forces) stating the same, and Lobitz in his works (he’s currently a LtCol of the Bundeswehr) also states that the vehicle received new armour inserts for the hull.
It may not be D-technology from the 1990s, but the 2A7V does not use C-technology.

Jesús… what is your fixation with having 2019 Leopard 2A7V get an armor 30% worse than the 20+ years older Strv 122s?
Why are you actively fighting against correction?
Strv 122s’s hulls provide 730mm KE. Leopard 2A7V’s hull provides 650mm KE.
Not to mention the turret differences, where, as of the latest Dev Server, 2A7V has B tech turret that couldn’t withstand DM53 on a 60° arc.
HOW does that make any sense to you!?

Surprise surprise, the Sweden players were malding for literally no reason.
I said from the start that we hadn’t seen the Gripen C, and that it would probably be worse if they are giving it to the British tree.

So every bug report regarding multiple massive issues with the 2A7V still got ignored even while providing multiple different sources.

2A7V has still the wrong armor values, missing ammo, wrong weight, wrong mobility, wrong topspeed.

i mean you got more then enough sources and decided to make it worse then a strv122 ?

U do realise that the wedges are part of the D-Tech addon package made back then by IBD right?
But the B+ is just a regular 122 with external composite screens no?
There are mixed armor 2a5s with b tech but those were Dutch
Many reports from the Dev server are still open and under investigation. These have not been ignored, the developers are simply still working on the update as a whole and all the vehciles within it.

No its C tech internal with addon made by IBD and Åkers Krutbruk Protection AB in 2010.
Before doing any more arguing about the irrelevant naming scheme, can we agree that the 2A7V should certainly not have worse armor then the 122?

They’re part of MEXAS-H but alright. Your argumentation makes little sense anyways, because per that snipet, it would mean older turrets for some reason had received wedges based on a completely different armour design?
