Responding to issues regarding dev server reports 13.12.2023

Is it possible now that we have stock APFSDS shells for rank 8 tanks to also have them for rank 7 tanks as well? I know it may seem like asking for too much but please, it would be so awesome, heatfs at the high tiers is just unbearable and this simple solution would make us all happy, I hope you at least take this into consideration, thanks in advance!

If you have some time, could you take a look at my question regarding the Merkavas?

<https://below-the-turret-ring.com/armored-vehicles/bundeswehr-introduces-leopard-2a7v-into-service/ >

“With the hull add-on armor, the Leopard 2A7V’s frontal hull is claimed to reach the same protection level as the frontal turret, i.e. being protected against most types of modern anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), large caliber KE penetrators and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). The internal armor arrays in hull and turret have been replaced with a more modern solution.”

< Leopard 2A7V Main Battle Tank ~ Part 2 | Joint Forces News >

“At the front of the hull the armour protection of the Leopard 2A7V has been massively increased in order to allow the vehicle to survive hits by kinetic energy penetrators in duel situations. This has been done by installing passive add-on armour over the nose of the hull, by replacing the internal protection modules of the bow with modern ones in D Technology and by installing add-on armour on top of the vehicle’s glacis plate.”

< BW – Kampfpanzer Leopard 2A7V | TANK-MASTERS – Photos & Journalism | Military Photos & Journalism >

“For example, the protection level of the chassis will be increased by replacing the internal protection modules in the front of the hull with modern protection modules in D technology, adapting a front protection module at the bow, a duel glacis plate protection as well as catchers in the side hull area”

Why does the Yak-141 get preferential treatment then?

Sir, all the sources are in german. Im german. D-TECH IS NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE it just says replaced the old internal armour with newer one. it DOES NOT say what tech was used…

You think they would say “upgraded armor” to presumably reference a 1979 composition being replaced by a 1980s one in 2019…?

What kind of “upgrade” is that? How does it make any sense?

Also- somehow it makes sense for the add-on armor module in a 2019 tank to be weaker than its 1990s predecessor’s add-on armor module?

First of all, thank you for aknowledging the situation and promising details in a later devblog.

I just wanted to ask if you know if this dev blog is planned to appear before or after the release of the update?

Already proven that it has d internals also no 2a5/2a6 in Bundeswehr service had worse armor than c tech.

“STILL used”.

Not “upgraded to”.

C tech is old and still used in non-upgraded tanks or barely upgraded ones, and is soon to be entirely replaced and rid of. It’s not a standard you would “upgrade to” a 2019 tank.

Said book submitted by the author is supported by a General from Bundeswehr. I don’t know what I am doing convincing some rando on the internet, so this will be my last comment to you
