Well not the autoloader per se but there is an additional basket within the T-64/80s autoloader that the crew seats are mounted to (and that prevents the crew from having their legs crushed while its cycling) and that the “independent” part of the autoloader rotates around.
On T-72/90 the part that actually moves indepdently is below the top plate thats modelled as part of the autoloader ingame right now.
The plates above the charges do not rotate with the carousel but with the turret itself and are essentially what the crew sits on (or well rests their legs on but you get the idea)
Hes on about damaged baskets, not damaged floor. Completely different thing. If a floor of a challenger 2 took shrapnel or a shell through it or any damage, it would not stop the turret rotating. A basket yes, not floor. The floor rotates from the turret, not turret from the floor. So the turret would have to get damaged to stop floor rotation, not other way around. Some holes in a floor wont stop a turret rotating.
Seems like everyone else has told you how the Challenger 2 works. Which is funny, because no T-Series turret basket for them? Why continue to implement nerfs for every other nation. I am not one to say, “Wussian Bisas” but come on. Seems like every nation has received this unpopular implement EXCEPT RUSSIA. Even the Challenger, which has time and time have been proven it has no basket. Except I guess a rotating floor (on ball bearings) is enough for a turret basket (that doesn’t exist), but somehow the thing that does have a turret basket (T-Series) does not have it.
T - Series - Autoloader attached to turret, rotates with turret, takes a shell and becomes disabled turret continues to rotate, i’m not even going to mention the aparrent 30% chance of turning said turret into a saturn v rocket which should also be higher if not guaranteed and also extremely well documented.
Every other tank - shoot the loaders handrail or the one metal floor plate whole turret disabled
Doesn’t change the fact that the Challenger 2 is getting a turret basket (because the floor rotates on a different system that has been told to you multiple times, yet your argument is a random sentence from somewhere that just says, ‘the floor rotates’ which is laughable when you consider how many documents we need to show to prove that the BMPT doesn’t have a black hole to absorb all shots). Meanwhile, I have yet to have seen you on the front lines demanding a turret basket on the T-Series tank. You can say, “yeah, the T-Series should have it” but considering the fact you are here attempting to justify something that doesn’t exist, rather than advocating that the T-Series needs to have this on every auto-loading T-Series vehicle, just proves to me where your true stance is.
“We do not have enough to prove that the T-Series vehicles have a turret basket, now let’s move the reload time to 4 seconds, because there’s one video showing it can do it.”
