Because the floor is nothing to do with how the turret rotates.

Because otherwise the crew would have to move their feet along with the turret when it turns and risk getting their feet and legs caught in all the things? Or am i misunderstanding what you mean?

Is that worse than the entire turret being inoperable?

I might be misunderstanding what i’m looking at but in that vide the floor follows with the turret rotation?

There is a small linkage that links the floor to the turret, but it is not part of the turret mechanism the turret is driven by the ball bearing assembly. if that floor was to be hit the top section that drives the turret would still operate.

The floor actually is not moving and that is from a CR1 so cannot be used for a bug report but they use the same turret drive systems.

Now on a Leopard or M1 the turret is rotated using the basket.

As i have said before, if you have proof that it can be disconnected and the turret turn anyway feel free to make a report.

Logical following or reasonability doesn’t suffice for a report.

That might be true, but as i have stated before, their reason for it not being able to operate when a floor is hit is not the mechanism, it’s this:

Turret runs on the turret ring, no lower mechanism and no lower mechanism or damage to the floor would disable main turret drive.

If CR2 is to have a turret basket added then T-series tanks get them too

I haven’t said it would. You seem to be missing the points i’m making and their reason for it stopping the rotation.

The turret is connected to a floor that rotates together with the turret when the turret turns.

A damaged floor would damage surrounding equipment if forcefully rotated despite damage.

That is like saying a shaft will stop spinning if you break the propeller. It is linked but not intrinsically

As I said the arrangement is similar to the Russian turret system and that is not being burdened by this game mechanic.

Okay but the T series autoloader cant possibly inhibit the rotation of its turret?

Surely y’all can see the double standard that the devs are twisting your arm to support?

I personally think the autoloader should behave the same when hit if that is their rationale for turrets not being able to rotate when hit there.

But my personal opinions won’t effect how the dev’s implement things, i have the same influence over development and implementations as you guys do.
