I respect that, but it could have just been a dev server thing, saved and archived for the future.
Which they have mentioned wouldn’t be reasonable or viable for them to do.
It’s been a few months since the turret baskets were introduced and I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan
They are way too easy to knock out, making the tank as good as dead… It just doesn’t feel satisfying getting kills on tanks with turret baskets anymore, it doesn’t reward good shot placement, it’s just a massive shrapnel sponge that gets knocked out with almost every penetrating hit
I haven’t played tanks that have turret baskets much but I can assume it feels extremely frustrating getting your turret ring shot out constantly
All these changes have made tanks way too easy to kill and it feels like skill isn’t rewarded anymore, you just put a shell in the center of a tank and it’s as good as dead
There was and is so much wrong with the Abrams that adding this mechanic was just the wrong thing to do.
Adding extra modules literally just pushes the pain around for players at different states lol
no module inside = pain for the shooter who would hit an empty spot that does no damage
more modules = player getting hit anywhere becomes a sitting duck
The good thing is some NATO tanks <10.7 that should have the basket hadn’t been added to them isn’t affected by the change, where soviet/chinese got hit by autoloader module pain as early as 9.3.
I’m here to remind Gaijin to please buff Chinese vehicles. Especially the CS/SA5, ZTZ99A and VT4
This is pretty much impossible without postponing the updates.
They need to push a certain amount of content in a given period, so just testing and shelving things like that won’t happen.
Depends.
Commander being able to shoot the gun was a widespread introduction as no modelling was required.
It’s been 2 major updates since the Abrams and Leopard tanks got special treatment by getting advanced modules and turret baskets…
The premise was that “the rest of the tanks would be getting them gradually on the following updates too”.
Well… here we are.
The RDFLT/HSTVL also have autoloaders, it isn’t a soviet/chinese only mechanic
Yes, a select few vehicles versus plethora of main vehicles for two nations.
Lower BR tanks not getting baskets is a clear win for them.
Repairing the autoloader and it’s back to it’s maximum speed vs loosing the loader crew member and the shot time takes 2-3x the average time. Plus on the HSTVL/RDFLT, they added the same turret basket that the Abrams and the Leopards sufferer from, so not only does it have the pitfall of the T-series autoloaders, it has both at the same time. If you are really sitting there trying to argue that adding autoloader modules wasn’t a necessity then you’re just blatantly biased. Gaijin intentionally over inflated the hit boxes of turret drives and it was stupidly done.
I’ve bug reported the HSTVL/RDFLT’s turret basket saying it wasn’t a part of the turret but of course it was denied.
Guess what happens when those autoloaded tanks lose two crew ?
Guess what happens to manually loaded tanks.
Show me where I implied that.
Silly argument you’re trying to make
Making an argument that autoloaded tanks are at a disadvantage because of their lack of the loader isn’t silly.
Stuff like this is okay though? Give me a break. Crying about autoloaders breaking is the most silly thing I’ve ever heard.
the loaders get immediately executed on most penetrating hits to the main crew area
I’m afraid you still don’t understand what I tried to say and immediately get upset because someone dared to challenge your take.
Guess what happens with autoloaded tanks on most penetrating hits to the main crew area ?
Challenge what? That destroying a mechanical loader should stop the tank from loading? Get over yourself. Better yet, remove the autoloader and just make the whole hitbox an automatic ammo explosion, would that make you happier? At least you won’t have to worry about having to repair it
Who even said that ?
You’re so fueled by rage it’s absolutely hilarious.
Autoloaders have their pros and cons, but you’re seemingly unable to accept what latter brings to the table.
