Responding To Dev Server Feedback Regarding Turret Baskets

I just don’t understand why the floor is part of the damage model… Because once it is broken the gunner can no longer stand and operate anything? Are they dropped on the ground???

Autoloader on t series tanks is a good example of internal structure, since it does not significantly nerf the tank itself. But addition of basket is definitely not a good idea. Just imagine both leopard and t80 get their main body hitted, t80 has another chance to shoot and kill, while leopard 2 need to run away(because they are not able to aim). That is what makes leopard hard, not to mention Abrams.

Im tired not able to return fire. The turret basket is a horrible idea. Especially since it doesn’t contain any elements to traverse the turret. Russian tanks are too op now, they always have the chance to shot back, while you can’t move, cant aim…its a game jesus. Why so unbalanced?

Also every hit is not factually a lethal hit. You either die immeadetly or have to wait for the follow up shot. While you can’t do anything. Bad.

It’s even worse because side shots that would normally kill only the driver now disable the turret ring as well.


And this happens in 9/10 sideshots. Disabling leopards and Abramses have become stupid easy.

This change has very severely nerfed the Leopards and Abramses to the point that Abramses are now not really even worth playing. As nearly every single penetrating hit will now cripple you to the point i’d rather be killed immediately. Absolutely dog water change.

if the turret bask, even others modules like autoloaders, was resistant or even immune to spall damage it would much better.

rn you dont even need to aim at it to break it. if it was resistant/immune to spall it would reward actually skill shots and not any random shot.

I dont mind it being damaged by spall… i just think damaging the turret basket should slow down the turret rotation by 25-50% not completely disable it. I

also a option, but i think that one major problem of the module mechanic is that it reward bad shots exactly bc of the spall… for crew and electronics modules yes, keep the spall damage, but others (like horizontal/vertical driver, autoloaders, turret ring, etc) idk…

Why? look at photos of leopard baskets. Its like a big bothing. When the turret drive or the ring is missed, traverse shouldn’t be impaired.

Also i wasn’t happy at all with the autoloader addition, infact i wasn’t even aware something like that was added untill i shot a t80 and he was supposed to die from that shot straight to the ammo, but nah he survived and shot me and i died, he repaired and carried on.

It has to be noted that russian tanks are still able to traverse their turrets, even when the autoloader gets knocked off. This is a huge imbalance. If the turret basket is supposed to jam the turret, why is the much more spacious autoloader not jamming the turret as well?

If that happens they would cry to Gaijoob and instantly revert it, just like what they did the AGM-65D it was so good, it was nerfed because it made the Russians to actually start trying, but when it comes to KH38MT naah it was untouchable.

Now you can spawn in SU-34-30SM instantly launch 6 missiles you get 6 confirmed kills, you go back rearm and then do the same, SPAAs can’t touch you and all this is balanced to them but when it comes to some real issue like the turret ring, they somehow get triggered.

They could reduce the range of KH’s to force all those Suchois into SPAA range. Or make them just laser guided as they did with Brimstones. In case of the Brims they didn’t even waited to see how it impacts live server, but nerfed it prematurely. Two worlds.

Dunno what the point is, to have a competitive MMO game where you might just spawn, fire 6 F&F missiles in quick succession for multikills? And no one has the range nor time window to prevent that. Its like Godmode light. I know its a ru game, but lately its a bit too much.
