Hey everyone! With the release of the Ninth Wave major update, several armored vehicles in the Great British research tree will be moved. Comparison images of the tree before and after the changes can be seen below. Check it out!
These changes are aimed at improving the research tree structure. Affected vehicles are marked with a special icon in the game.
We’re announcing upcoming changes in advance to give you the opportunity to plan your tech tree research with an understanding of how the tech tree will look in the near future.
Constant reshuffles won’t fix the fact the certain areas of the tree are getting extremely bloated due to nation after nation being piled into the tree.
Reworking the tree over and over can only delay the problem for so long until a permanent solution like sub tree folders becomes necessary.
Not to mention moving the Conway into the MBT line is absolute nonsense.
edit - And the fact the Conway is being re-badged as a medium tank/MBT to ‘fill’ the gaping huge 6.0-7.7 Centurion gap is just a low effort slap in the face considering it doesn’t at all fill the role of an MBT in-game.
The actual solutions to the Centurion gap (tech tree Mk 2 and 32pdr Mk 3) are low-effort slam dunks but I suppose even that would be too much to ask compared to just shuffling over a tank destroyer, calling it an MBT and leaving it at that.

irrelevant, but i noticed the 45mm 20K (l46 and 760ms muzzle velocity) has the penetration of the 45mm m-42 (l66 and 870ms, much faster projectiles), if true, that’s blatant russian bias.
This is an odd change. Folder goes up to 3 vehicles, why not add the G6 to one of the existing folders? would have made more sense.
Even more so, as there are still Cents that could go in the Cent line. But with how often the reworks have been, it is clear that trees are running out of room, and stuffing more and more nations into one isn’t helping, and a proper rework of sub-trees is needed, something like the holy grail: nation folders.
To be fair to the guy, previous reshuffles of the british tree have been to further integrate the south african subtree into the tech tree, and then to allocate space to the Commonwealth aircraft (hornets and hopefully much more to come)
In the 2026 teaser decal there was a Arjun MBT so a singular actually unique indian addition is garanteed, there may be more vehicles coming with it (almost certainly more soviet slop but thats a seperate issue)
