Requesting information about "Overpressure stacking" mechanic

Hello,

I recently posted a topic regarding general overpressure modeling:

I would like to know, now, if there is any information regarding “overpressure stacking” – I have heard this term used by several high profile players leading me to believe it is indeed a mechanic. And myself, have noticed odd situations, where e.g. sustained autocannon HE fire against a target not susceptible to the overpressure damage on an individual basis, will suddenly overpressure in a strange way.

Does anyone have any concrete knowledge on this “overpressure stacking” mechanic?

I’ve seen and gotten a few kills randomly from just spamming players and ill watch the replay and they will just randomly die no penn nothing so I would not be surprised if this existed.

There was a bug that caused it to happen if HE rounds hit the same area quick enough.

As far as i am aware, it currently no longer does that.

Ah, is the common thought that this was a bug?

The overpressure stacking bug was real.

The current issue that people think is the overpressure bug is most likely armor holes.

I see. Thanks

Man… I wish I could show you when I nuked an is 2 with a skink frontally it must have been the luckiest shot.

I feel like a lot of ww2 tanks have armor holes. You could hit a maus in a certain spot and kill it with 12.7.

HE makes it easier since the area effect just has to hit the hole rather than the round itself

True I just thought MAYBE I penned the cupola magically

Oh, if you where shooting there, you most likely did pen it.

Optics are one of the most broken things in ground.
