Sadly, that was just a proposal for the AH-X program. I believe the engine upgrade was the only addition that was added to the OH-1 from the proposed attacker version.
I’d still like it even with only air to air armament. It’s still a more potent anit air platform than the Type 93 and can now be researched with tanks. Could be an offshoot from the UH-1 that cou can research optionally, placed next to the AH-1 in the tree.

I agree, I’d be happy to have it even with just 4 Type 91 Kai missiles. Especially with Japan’s current lack of competitive SPAA, it would be a useful tool. Especially as an optional offshoot that isn’t required to research the rest of the heli tree.

It would still be useful as a helicopter that was maybe 9.0 or 9.3 that would be same cost as type 93 unique sp spawn cost for a… Unique air craft it could definitely be useful as there’s games where type 93 isn’t enough from how many helos/jets are up this would allow for another type of helicopter definition in game of SPAA where it would only have A2A
