Surely I can’t be the only person who doesn’t like the current repair system… one the major naval game mechanics is that doing multiple repairs at once makes them take longer, so why do we HAVE to do all the repairs at the same time.
I know the current system “prioritizes” a certain repair but it still does all three at once. If you’re in active combat you will never get a repair done because of it. I don’t need to repair my engines and smokestack mid battle, but what I do need is to fight the fire and flooding. The current system just doesn’t make sense considering the current game mechanics.
And if you keep the current system, then make it so it actually prioritizes the repair…
Damage control completes the prioritized task and then moves on to the second, then the third…
They still need to fix tgat issue of hull repairs being needed and auto-started every hit.
I would love if there was a “repair critical systems” or something where it would only repair stuff like engines, guns, and turrets while not repairing aa and secondaries.
I dont think i should have to needlessly send out a few dozen men into aa mounts that will get blown up within 20sec in order to repair my main gun turret.
I would like an actual damage control menu so I could tell my crew exactly what to repair, when I want it repaired, the new repair system could have formed the basis of a good repair system where critical repairs where automatically carried out then non-critical systems where listed and you could either click them to manually repair, or check them on to include them in auto repair.
unfortunately Gaijin refused to refine the system, instead giving us a choice between a brain dead system and one that is so bugged now it is basically un usable, but still better then the idiotic new system.
