Without making any adjustments along with; repair costs should be removed from the game. It is a silly and useless system. A game is not real life and you should not be taxed for playing the game. The game’s “economy” is already enough of a challenge regarding accumulating enough silver lions to purchase vehicles and modifications along with the increasingly burdensome research requirements as one progresses through the ranks. It is a silly concept that a player could leave a match without any sort of profit from it. The purpose of a game should be chiefly enjoyment followed by a reasoned expectation of constant progression if played, no matter to performance. Instead, performance should strictly concern the level or amount of profit.
The game’s progression is already balanced with repair costs in mind. The reason they exist is to give the illusion that you could be making more SL if you were better at the game. If they didn’t have it and you got to see how much SL they wanted you to make in a game, you would have no one to blame but the devs and that’s the kind of frustration that leads to fewer sales instead of more.
Totally disagree.
-
Repair cost were up to mid last year used as balancing factor like BR and Rank of a vehicle. With a premium account or a premium vehicle it is nearly impossible to lose SL when playing.
-
The downside of this is that a hell of players participate in battles due to using premium products - even if they perform poorly, they still progress.
-
Technically seen repair cost shall prevent reckless or plain stupid game play - which supports the idea of playing as a valuable member of your team.
-
Anyone struggling with SL income simply progresses to fast - his skill level is below the BR he is playing.
The game has a RP problem, not a SL problem.
-
The SL & RP income reflects performance and determines the number of possible respawns.
-
Alone the fact that gaijin grants a mission score for getting killed without doing nothing is technically seen nonsense.
See above - imagine a prop pilot with zero (or very limited) skill. All he has to do is to do is to find an equally skilled opponent and trade in a full committed head-on.
This is no viable game plan, same as masses of clueless players flooding Air RB performing useless tasks like bombing respawning bases.
Imho the repair cost for premium vehicles are often way too low.
Best example is a Wyvern pilot in Air RB - the sheer masses of clueless players dragged the BR from 5.0 (which reflects the actual plane performance) to 4.0 (now 4.3) in Air RB, despite being a head-on monster.
It’s a F2P game. There has to be incentive to spend, and this way (economically) is one of the primary ways it’s done.
Solution is simple. Buy a year of prem account during sales - and you literally never have to worry about repair costs again. (Well… for a year lol)
