Im low on Sl and thesen STUPID REPAIR COST ARE MAKING ME ALWAYS LOSE THEM AFTER A BAD ROUND. Like cant then at least just not make them so expensive and also why do modification make it even worse and without the mods the plane is absolute dookie. This is unfair for people that dont have premium time and lost of sl. Like im trying to grind the mig21smt and I need like 600k more ( crew+ main cost) and these stupid repair costs are making it worse.

A sekrit activity like flying into the ground? He uses a trick to get full repair costs while others only have like 2700SL.
Instead of J out after being shot should i just wait until i slam into the ground?
Gaijin doesn’t want to decompress because they’re afraid we wouldn’t want to wait in queue, but then they force us to watch our flaming plane spiral down from high altitudes into the ground because otherwise we pay full costs… Interesting isn’t it?

honestly, i dont know why repair costs are still a thing in 2026.
Rewards are good enough that its difficult to consistently go negative.
Plus with how small some repair costs are they dont really serve the same purpose they used to (balancing)

Get Premium Account/Time brother. You cannot lose SL’s from battles with Prem Time.
Prem Time goes on sale 50% off 2x a year, you can get 180 days for ~$20 from the webstore, so ~$40/year at the 50% sale price. Very reasonable on sale compared to any other game that sells expansions yearly for $60-$80, or more. Makes life a lot easier and more enjoyable.
As with anything in life, if it is “free” then YOU are the product. You “can” play War Thunder for free, but YOU will spend 3x-4x more time to get to the same place with premium time. Or even longer in certain circumstances, especially if many of your matches do not go well.
The choice is yours. I choose the Premium Time route. ~$40 a year is much cheaper than spending 4x+ more time grinding RP’s and SL’s. The math is simple, work for a handful of hours, or even 1 day’s wages and get Prem Time for the year, or spend weeks/months/years longer grinding without Prem Time.

It’s frustrating, but just play 5 match of Naval, then you can get around 250K-300K sl

Yeah 100… Also what do you mean 1 million SL? Usually I get boosters or back ups for nations I don’t even play
Also, I just found out today I can kill my own team with artillery and I lost quite a bit of SL… (I didn’t mean to, I sent it to the enemy occupied C point and by the time it arrived a BMD-4M2 decided to take the point)
And they usually proceed to blame you for calling in artillery there
