REMOVE UPTIERING AND AND DOWNTIERING also add historically matchmaking back

T-34s are still in service in some countries. Do we get t-34 vs abrams? M22 vs maus. Gotta love it when people ask for historical mm. Gaijin tested it a couple times and it failed.

Didn’t know Abrams was made in 1939

Imho nobody wants a “real” historical MM with vehicles of the same service date. There is little to no fun in stomping 75mm Shermans with King Tigers or clapping P-51 Ds with a Me 262. And using the 262 example - nobody wants to fight 1 vs 16 in a 262, because the numerical advantage of their opponents is part of history too…

The game is based on a (imho failed) attempt to eliminate historical imbalances of weapon systems / vehicles with setting BRs adjusted to their combat effectiveness - the issue of fights with technology gaps of up to 20+ years is the logical result.

If you see the BR steps you have a 75% chance of an “uptier” in every match - the main problem is and was always to find the correct BR for each vehicle.

The game play shows that gaijin’s approach with plain average player results to determine the BRs is just creating op vehicles as the majority of players have no clue how to use certain vehicles to their strengths; either based on missing tutorials or the lack of patience or even willingness to “master” a certain vehicle.

The current system is furthermore highly influenced by game set up (maps and objectives) and certain aspects like the necessity of climbing in props.

If you combine all of these factors you have the result as it is today.

Yep. Exactly this
Are you new here? Queue for Air RB can be 5-10 min long in less populated day hours very frequently.

Ever heard of a civil war?

They are already trying to fix issues described by you, but they are approaching it by decompressing the research trees, which also helps with removing some problematic match ups.
The effect is wider BR range which spreads player base more, so overall increasing queue times.

Recently, I started to play other nations as well and already in 1.0, I noticed big differences in performance between vehicles there (example with BT-5 being significantly better performing than T-26-4), likely because of adding more vehicles there over time. So even there, I would like to see some BR decompression being done there instead.

That would also help with overcrowded Rank 1 and helping new players with more enjoyable experience and having to learn about less tanks right at the start.

Gaijin use this to keep repair costs up. If they can control the BR then only place players into BR matches with the highest BR vehicle in their line-up. Uptiering ruins the gameplay experience. Besides being spawn camped, Uptiering is the most frustrating element of this game. STOP UPTIERING!

No lol, there is USUALLY large disparities between your br and what br game you are playing in. Extremely common to have large up and downtiers where you are the top dog or bottom of the food chain. Do you even play the game??
