Remove the trenches in Normandy map

Tank tracks are ridiculously badly modelled. Wheeled vehicles even worse.

you should test drive the mkV male from the ww1 event or the TOG 2, they physically cant cross trenches, the thing they were built to do first and foremost. guns and armour was second

The exactly the same issue.

Gaijin just should remove or replace by another type of ground the trenches by the way.

I mean the A7V was useless but yea its bad,

Tank tracks have traction?

Sounds like a marketing lie to me

i can tell you from driving around in an achilles as a teenager that they have a hell of a lot of traction

That is indeed correct. However it comes the question of what’s easier to fix —for them—: traction/tracks system or the trenches layout/modelling.

I’m sure that a traction/tracks/wheels system overhaul ain’t even a priority on their to-fix list (though it’s definitely somewhere), so it’s currently humble enough to ask for trenches to be softened on their modelling while there’s no overhaul.

putting filler over a dented car door because you were too drunk to see the cyclist is easier than fixing the dent true.

Don’t ridicule my point, blame Gaijin instead on not paying attention on a underlying issue that’s not on their priority list (and won’t be regardless of this post).

im not ridiculing it at all. was simply an analogy for how it masks the issue without really fixing what went wrong.

its not as high of a priority as more premium T80U models yea…

No issue at all in that picture.

Tanks do have trench crossing limits - Tiger 1 limit is variously given as 2.3 or 2.5 meters.

Mk IV tank from WW1 is 4m (13 ft), M1 Abrahms is 9 ft (about 2.8m)

Consequences of heavily artificially nerfing traction to deal with poor map design.

The state of the churchill is incredibly irksome. Especially given one of the more notable losses (to my mind anyhow) was caused explicitly by it being able to navigate terrain that would bog down most other armour (and people too). Also was noted at being exceptionally good at hills.

Instead of actually fixing the issue of broken spots because of poor map design, let’s make it so all vehicles have bad traction.

Yeah. thats the whole point

just avoid them

That picture need a bit explication.
Im trying cross near the bunker section in straight line but suddenly my tracks was absorbed by the wood a then my tank just turn into the trench. Is like all wooden and surroding was extremly bad modelled.

Impossible if you try cap or fight in that zone.

It s me or some people is happy wtih the game is a crap bug fest???

Gaijin just do the same like in this area of Easten Europe. Just replace the trenchs for regular ground.
A small change but a big improvement for the game play.
