Let’s face it. Does anyone actually like Sweden? Whenever this map is mentioned it seems like it is always most players go-to map ban for ground or would be if there wasnt a map they disliked more taking that slot.
Overhauls of older maps are nice, but I dont think there is an possible fix for this map. It is too CQB for vehicles not designed for CQB and has insanely boring gameplay.

Sweden is one of the best maps in the game. It’s massive, it has the most flanking routes of any map in War Thunder. It’s a prime example of good large urban map design.
You could’ve chosen Sun City or find a worse urban map… but you chose the best to complain about.
Touché to that, I wouldn’t really have a problem with it if it was just at lower tiers, but at 7.7+ it’s just a slog of checking 18 angles simultaneously for corner campers. Not getting into how much of a pain it is to deal with vaguely competent CAS due to the height of buildings obscuring sight lines and reducing the window to engage, unless you go and play around specific open areas.
If I didn’t have Advance to the Rhine banned, I’d probably ban Sweden, or Alaska
It isn’t even fun to bomb, the sight lines and roads make bombing runs line up annoyingly and there’s too many buildings for AGMs to wander into. It’s just rubbish for everyone involved. AA isn’t even an engaging threat because their sight lines are just as bad for shooting the cas as the sight lines are for cas going for strikes.
It’s just miserable. The only thing I can give it as praise is that it is impressive that it screws over everyone to very similarly upsetting extents. There is nothing virtuous about this map, it’s just unfun across the board. Utterly miserable. It isn’t even interestingly miserable. You can’t reasonably get annoyed at it because it’s just dull. It’s not fun but there’s no egregiously blatant spawn to spawn line that you can complain about. It’s just a dull misery that you’re condemned to.
I don’t like it. I have so many issues with this map and if I keep adding to this I will legitimately be here until the update drops.
Nah, Advance to the Rhine makes a Gnat look gigantic, and Alaska just has terrible cap zones. Sweden at least has a reasonable spawn to spawn time at lower tiers, and ignoring the B cap, actually has decent caps that don’t require bombing it across an open field
That map is a maze with no rhyme or reason to it’s layout, feels like it was made by people that didn’t know what game they’re making the map for, should definitely be removed or extensively remade imo.
