Remove or replace the new Churchill AVRE’s (event vehicle) at a higher battle rating since its not fair to have such thick armor that only few tanks from all nations combined can destroy it individually. Besides, majority of tanks don’t have a great cannon to destroy it. Having this type of issue makes the game really hard to play and not enjoyable at this battle rating, and this not just for me but many other players if not all of us.
No, it should actually be lower, maybe 2.3 or 2.0.
2.0 is a bit too much, i think its ok at 2.7.
Its not unkillable and its not paper as it should be with its munitions range (which decreasing and increasing its BR will do)
I dont actually own one tho…
the new Churchill AVRE can shoot a maximum 150m. just don’t drive towards it and shoot it from a distance, shoot a track and then pick it off with weak points.
You can kill it by shooting the mortar when it’s in the barrel, so it genuinely is one of the easiest tanks to kill in the entire game considering it has to be so close to kill you that you can’t possibly miss the barrel.
It’s just a discount Sturmtiger tbh.
Advantage being turret, disadvantage being no range and easier to kill imo.
Just stay more than 150m from it and it can’t kill you either.
It has a max range of 140m and a max effective of 50. Just stay out of literal stones-throw distance and you’ll be fine. It doesn’t need a higher BR.
It also doesn’t need a lower BR. No matter how low you make it it will never be a practical vehicle - it’s not meant to be. It’s a meme tank and shouldn’t be expected to be anything more.
I doubt its 150, that might just be the effective firing range however effective crews who know what there doing wouldn’t have an issue.
150 I think is the max range it will let you fire at. But yeah, thats probably pushing it a bit. But it’s damage comes from pure HE and not pen I think. So shouldn’t be affected by range
you can’t angle the barrel over 150m aiming when on flat ground. i think you get like 200m tops if you blindly lob it whilst standing on an uphill and not knowing what you are aiming at.
Generally the limit on flat ground seems to be around 110-120 meters.
you are closer than i was, i just tested it in test-drive and got 130m, the max angle is 155m before the barrel stops. at a around 30 degree uphill i was able to aim and fire 200m (with HUD hidden), anything further and you have to guess-aim as the aim is off screen.
I already tried that, and it does not work. I think it should be at 3.0. A Churchill facing a Ta-Se is ridiculous.
The Ta-Se argument is literally pointless. “The TOR-M1 cant kill a leopard! We must put it in 1.0!”
Or you could just stop being bad and letting a slow, fat tank get into melee range of you without simply shooting its tracks or the instakill button on his turret that can be activated with even 50.cals (actually after having tested it you can kill it with any calibre of rifle even 5.56/5.8mm).
Problem is that many new players are going to face it without that experience.
And? One of the core concepts of this game is learning strengths and weaknesses of vehicles to exploit or maximise.
Of course it is, any game is like that.
