Title - showing the shell penetration starting just meters from when it hits your vehicle: fine. Killcam showing the enemy, their position: no. It’s precisely the kind of thing that allows revenge CAS to be so prevalent and revenge killing in general. Rather than being rewarded for finding a good spot, someone can just respawn and flank you without ever having to actually lay eyes on you that life.
Arcade it’s fine, because it’s arcade. But it doesn’t belong in GRB. The killcam should be removed outright or given an option to disabled(both sending/receiving).
I dont really care about killcams too much, but would be nice when it says “press space bar to skip” and you press space bar and nothing happens and you still have to sit and watch your tank get blown 1-2 times was fixed,
Yeah this is annoying. For years I’ve had to press space twice. You skip it, then it just plays it again, and you have to skip again. It’s ridiculous. Something so simple…
A stationary tank is a dead tank, regardless of the kill cam. And it’s right that there is a kill cam anyway, if you don’t like it, you can play the SGB.
A stationary tank is not a dead tank provided it adheres to its playstyle. An AMX-50 Foch can stay 2km+ out in the same position for as long as it likes - the only thing that’s going to get to it is CAS, of which a killcam provides plenty of opportunity to be revenge CAS’d.
I’m not forfeiting the most popular gamemode in the game because I don’t like killcams. Sim is not just RB without killcams.
Seeing the shell impact your vehicle is good, seeing the enemy straight up where they are for a few seconds before it then goes on to show you the exact trajectory the shot took - it’s even more ridiculous now that I write it out. What’s the point of positioning in the first place if you’re going to get instantly revealed/punished for killing someone?
Cheaters are usually quite obvious anyway but post-game killcam is still available. Or add the option to flag/timestamp a death in-game to make checking it easier.
