And you just proven you in fact mix things up.
Even incomplete prototypes and mockups are better to introduce than trialed vehicles that nations refused to buy.
No
You’re applying double standards then.
Mockups never made it to functionality.
Trialed vehicles are at least combat ready.
Some have been prototypes, most service-ready.
No I’m not, you’re just confused.
Not combat ready in that country nor they have any connection to that country either.
US designed and built prototype has much more grounds for addition than a vehicle that was just trialed and never bought by the US.
paper boats exist in the game
This was the mentioned oplot, a special variant purchased by the USA
The Oplot-P, as represented in Pakistan under the Chinese Tech Tree, does not exist. It’s a completely fictional vehicle.
I’d probably say from how we see Gaijin choose to add vehicles it’s probably a bit different. Pure (non-purchased) trial vehicles are very rare in game and used far less than even incomplete prototypes (even when we take out naval).
1 - Service vehicle
2 - Complete prototype
3 - Purchased non-service import/—/—/—/ ________________________________ Gaijins Soft Line _________________________________ /—/—/—/
→ Vehicles can also be regularly added, but Gaijin are inconsistent with them. Sometimes Gaijin deny vehicles in this category outright, in others they are added and sometimes even preferred over the first two categories (see trial Oplot M added over prototype Oplot P). They can be suggested on the forum.4 - Incomplete prototype
5 - Trial (not purchased)/—/—/—/ _____________________ Gaijins Hard Line (with few exceptions) _____________________ /—/—/—/
→ Vehicles here will not be regularly added, but Gaijin have made some exceptions to this rule in the past, most notably their Flakpanzer 341 (mockup), R2Y2 (paper) and Ho-Ri “Production” (fiction). They can not be suggested on the forum.6 - Mockup
7 - Paper
8 - Fiction (Somehow this is one Gaijin did more than paper…)
At least that’s what I think Gaijin does, their exceptions still confuse me a bit.
What we have in game just isn’t the Oplot P, but it’s still a real tank. Only that this tank was an Oplot M used for trials by Pakistan in 2015.
This tank also has the A/C and APU of the Oplot T, so it might have been either an Oplot T or (more likely) a prototype Oplot M used to test these features for the Oplot T. So with that even the model in game is accurate, even if this is likely more of a coincidence than something Gaijin planned.
Spoiler
A/C - Blue
APU - Orange
I still would’ve preferred the Oplot P over this, it’s weird to have an unmodified trial vehicle when an entirely new variant of it was made based on the results of the trial, but it’s not completely fictional either
ah so what happened to the " we dont want foreign vehicles, just fix our chinese tanks and add more indigenous ones" ? All of a sudden, a foreign, fake vehicle is making your Chinese tree better?
Generally nothing, but it is disappointing they didn’t even try to put in the effort to make the proper Oplot P.
Getting a Oplot will make it a little better? Lol
Btw, where is the Italian Tiger 1 that the Italian community asked for, and Gaijin vehemently refused to add it as Italy only trained its tank crews on it ??? This game’s development is so ridiculous.
The most consistent Gaijin policy is inconsistency
That’s what I said. I used “As represented” intentionally.
No, those boats fall under number 2- Purchased vehicles intended for service.
Soyuz, Z47, etc are higher than trial vehicles, which are higher than prototypes.
@MAUSWAFFE
My post is not Gaijin’s standards [though it coincides with their standards], or my own personal preferences; The 1 - 7 list is specifically the process of a vehicle’s development.
Paper to service.
If you start at 7 you start at the schematic phase of vehicle development.
It’s an objective standard that I have no opinion on, but use because it’s how vehicles are made.
I think that you should have realised by now that Gaijin doesn’t want realistic Chinese vehicles…
Yea definitely. There are no Chinese MBT with a 6.5 sec reload paired with good enough armor
Have you used this vehicle by chance?
No. But by the looks of it it is better than any current Chinese MBT in game
