so. you’re telling that a guy that starts a new tech tree, with the second vehicle costing 26k XP
cant have a good vehicle, cmon man
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Nerfed and useless due his limited arc.
???
His movility is meh.
I think you should play both before talk.
Cope. I went through 6.7 US playing mostly, if not completely the heavy tanks, I never had a problem with M-51s whatsoever.
Cmon is a undertiered but for be 6.3 or 6.7 max. 8.0 for this tank is a stupidity.
This exactly what I was in the middle of typing. IDK why people are comparing the M-51 to much better vehicles.
Here is my take on the M-51
- M-51 is fine, it is a 3.3 chassis with a gun that has brought it to 6.0.
- There are other vehicles at similar BR’s with high pen heat and heatfs that are even in some cases better.
The ELC BIS is 6.0, has HEATFS with 350mm of Pen. It is better than the M-51 in many ways.
The M36B2 is 5.7, has HEATFS with 305mm of pen, it can pen pretty much everything it faces. It is better in my opinion because it has other shell options other than just heatfs.
M50 is 6.7, it is multiple guns with 433mm of pen HEATFS. It is MUCH better than the M51 which is why it is higher.
SU-122-54 is 6.7, it has 400mm of pen HEATFS. Yet again it is much better than the M51 with is why it is a higher BR.
I never had problem against RU-251 back when sit in 6.7 or against KV-220 in 5.7 but that dosnt means they are balanced.
It is better than the M-51’s gun. I enjoy using the recoilless rifle more than the M-51’s gun.
It is still useful.
Still better than the M-51 by abit.
Unfortunately I do not have fifty bucks to spend on it, so I dont think I will.
Post-pen is better then the standard HEAT found on the M51, and it can fire over obstacles without revealing the tank itself.
Still significantly better then the M51s, and it has a much lower silhouette.
I severely doubt that it is useless, and a 20mm is still a 20mm, especially when it gets APCR- which has enough pen to go through the sides of a lot of medium tanks, as well as kill light tanks and SPGs.
IS-7 and 279 have only APHE and are even higher. The M-51 has OP HEAT.
IS-7 and 279 have some absurd armor, the APHE has absurd post pen.
What??? can you tell me 10 seconds vs 7.5 is better ??? or the rotation speed??? cmon!!!
I dont said the opposite but turret muchine gus are by far more useful.
Just in movility and by a small margin, meanwhile in protection and survability is worse.
False.
And this help in certain situations and can be worse in anothers.
Again you should played before talk.
Yeah…
Silly comparision, M-51 is a 6.3 or 6.7 maximun, not higher.
The IS-7 and 279 have nearly as much pen, far better armor, especially on the 279, have a stab (on the 279), and are arguably more mobile. They also have significant secondary armaments in their 14.5mm MGs.
When HEAT gets fixed
Again, I do not have fifty dollars to spend on an event vehicle- but I can test drive it and compare it with the M51 there. True, it isnt as good as actual experience, but it is good enough for this.
Overall a lower silhouette is significantly better, especially with how high the shermans are.
So you have basically ZERO battles played with M51 and SPz LGS and the bets part you a e full arcade player and here you are givieng leason in RB section about 2 vehicles you actually NEVER PLAYED. LOL!!!
Come back when you have at the least 100 battles with both, bye!!!
First of all you can hull down with it and just have the gun, therefor it is harder to get killed if you play it right, also anything at 6.0 can pen the M-51, same with the SPZ so protections isnt really a big thing with either of them. Then it is fairly more mobile 55 compared to 38 then in reverse 12.7 compared to 4.9.
Not all about turret rotation speed. The post pen on the recoilless rifles is pretty good, they are pretty stable aswell when on the move.
The machine gun on the SPZ is extremely useful. It can rip through majority of light vehicles, I see alot of M18’s and it can just shred through then and its fast fire rate lets you do it quickly. The roof mounted machine gun on the M-51 is a 7.62 and it only has 13mm of pen and has slower fire rate. Now the premium M-51 gets a 12.7 but that still is a slower fire rate and only has 31mm of pen.
Also SPZ gets scouting and better smoke charge placement.
Now I am not opposed to a change to 6.3 for the M-51, but I dont think it is needed. The only reason I am not opposed to it is because it literally wont effect it at all tbh, wont make it better, wont make it worse but all these people saying “remove it” or move it to anything 6.7 or above are crazy.
Cough up the money to buy it for me and sure :)
