Give them real, consistent damage to the HEAT, and then put them in the Br they should be in.

I don’t think the issue is as much balance as immersion.
When it comes to not accepting post war tanks in WW2 all you can do is leave the game and move on.That’s it.
For me the worse thing for imersion are just planes.
I don’t really care what am I fighting while using a Tiger tank unless the enemy I have just killed will come in a plane that I can’t do anything about.

Yeah ,I was trying to use the French AMX M4 at 6.7 ,the only French tank I have at that BR. Light Armour but excellent hull down ability and only solid shot so it is sniping only.
So I have no modifications ,no extinguisher etc .All I can do is hull down ,be patient and scan the horizon (mostly on a down tier) ,try and take some Tigers as its all the Solid shot will pen.
I was getting some success but maps are limiting it all .The CAS thoguh is totally f*****g the whole thing up to the point I just quit the game .
So I cant play WW2 due to the M44 flood and cant really progress up the ranks because I cant utilize the tactics the vehicle demands so f**k it , just pretty much given up and found other things to play.
I don’t have any problem with things that are on the ground like M44 or M51 as still I can do something about them.
When it comes to planes, of course I can and will use SPAA and destroy all the air but that is not really the point as I wanted to play a Tiger.

True but I have no SPAA just one single vehicle and it is limited in use.My CAS is 3.7 Thunderbolt
My Tiger 1 gets often killed by it. Even angled it slices through everything. I always like when a large map cycles once in 20 matches to play Tigers and Panthers…just to be quickly sniped by this 400mm pen heat thing. Totally fair …not.
It should be common sense to slap a much higher br on that thing, but well…
The other story os the pt76 spam. Stabbed, mobile, flat profile and the heat shell also pens angles Tiger. Its just a bit too much heat for these 1943 tanks.

M-51 is a very slow glass cannon that ceases to exist whenever APHE is thrown it’s way.
105mm HEAT is it’s only redeeming quality, so I have no idea at what BR would you put it at ?

Its a tank with much better immersion in the nearby BRs. A big gun on a sherman is still much better immersion than things like a M109 or Jpz 4-5 or a Pzh-2000

Are you serious? It’s a 4.0 hull with 3.3 mobility, 5.7 turret and an 8.0 gun - 5.3 on avarage. You should be thankfull Gaijin didn’t put it at 5.3.
