The APCR checks out, L.Dv.4000/10 reports 140mm and 69mm for 100m/0° and 30° respectively, and 95mm and 47mm for 600m/0° and 30°. This is the same ammunition as the BK-37 fires, but its use in AA guns is questionable, though theoretically possible
The APHE on the other hand uses the same shell as the 37cm KwK/PaK, just with a slightly larger casing. Gets a bit more muzzle velocity, but 86mm is completely ludicrous when the same shell fired just slightly slower couldnt even break 50mm
In game the BK 3.7 is much lower in power, so I suppose that wouldn’t be broken. But still a maybe for AA guns, though I would not be opposed to the higher BR tanks getting it. And the APHE is just fantasy, kind of glad.
It’s so frustrating too. Because it just means that good players can dictate the BR of vehicles. Especially when it comes to vehicles that aren’t popular.
It doesnt say that it measures 60° from vertical, and in fact, the German documents of the time measured armor levels from horizontal, just take this primary doc for the BK 3,7 APCR. Penetration is measured at 90° and 60°, not 0° and 30° as one might expect.
Ingame the 3.7cm PzGr fired from an AA penetrates 38mm at 100m/30°, and almost perfectly matches the 24mm at 800m/30° mark as well
